  • Radley is key

My prediction for this year is a 6th place finish & a finals week 2 exit. If we are to go any further than that, we need Radley in top form. He adds so much to our team on both sides of the ball. He takes pressure of the halves with his ball playing & helps protect them in the defensive line.
Walker will play a lot better with Radley in the team & with Boyd gone he’ll be the one to lift the team & drag them back into contests that start to get away from us.
We should win the next 3 games, we can beat Parra after that & go into the panthers game with the confidence that 4 in a row gives us.

Lets go boys. We’re not a lost cause yet.

Victor the Inflictor should stop with his 'hitman" image and adopt a tackling style like Raper and Coote, wear headgear if necessary.
I fear anything else will see him hit someone high and be binned and suspended again.
He needs to stop being an 'angry' tackler, and from now on become a 'calm' tackler... cool, calm, measured, effective tackler.

No more injuries and Radley stays on the field, we might go deep into the finals.
I think we have everyone on board now except for Keary / Collins?

Not exactly. I know its cant be changed and they aren't coming back but our season was heavily reliant on Cords coming back, Friend and Bmoz. We will be at least 5 down to see out the season.

rads can make a huge difference. in the absence of a top shelf 5/8 to have him, walker, teddy and joey m getting into first and second receiver is the way to go

If playing with a defensive style that is both ineffective and fifty years out of date is his only option, he might as well retire.

Like Nat Butcher. Never lets a fast play the ball happen. Always in control, and only lets the tackler play the ball when he's ready at marker.
For mine Victor is in the top bracket of players in the game. But I agree that he should move away from the kamikaze defensive hitman persona.
When he did his knee last year he was charging out of the line to put a shot on.

"They can't run without legs" is 50 years out of date?
Better than being suspended for half a season.
If Radley keeps trying to smash people around the chest it won't be long before he hits someone in the head, gets put on report, and gets suspended for the rest of the season.

                    Suaalii wears headgear.
                    JT wore headgear.
                    Parra player wears headgear.
                    Storm player wears headgear.
                    Raiders player wears headgear.
Headgear is good...seems to stop head cuts.

I've seen Radley put on superb around the legs tackle ala original axe and imitation axe. The chest tackles are to stop the offload, dislodge the ball and wrestle to slow down the play the ball. These blokes all know how to tackle low at this level. It is laughable that some of you think they don't.

Just saw Trent on 9News saying that he doesn't want Radley to change his tackling style.
This was right after video footage was shown of Radley launching himself and tackling Pangai...in the head with his shoulder.
                        Geez Louise!

You can no longer hit people in the head.
Anything above the shoulder is the head.
If you aim for the ball/chest and bounce up off the ball and make contact with the head it's off to bin and on report for you...see you in a few weeks, maybe next March.

                            LOL
                            100% true though.
If Radley doesn't change his tackling style, particularly the launching part, it will all end in tears.
If he wants to tackle the ball he should be tackling the bottom of the ball, lower chest.

Perhaps you should listen to what Rads has said about it in his interview on Roosters Radio, & then you can get off your soapbox.
