fwiw in the last 30 mins we were very good at controlling field position and backing our defence.

Yeh we adjusted to the conditions well after half time and just shut the game out through effort. Can probably count on one hand how many times the Dogs crossed the halfway line.

Good game of footy...beats the one sided thrashings to watch. But kind of shows where we are at with the Bulldogs pushing us.

Highlight was the magnificent JWH, and the welcome return of Vic Radley. He was great too and makes soooooo much difference to our team.

And N Butcher - not sure why people dish him and he puts in every game - be good if other players had such stats week in week in as he does

Yeh Nat Butcher coming on and playing first carry prop is a tough gig and he did it admirably. Clearly not this style of play but as always gave it his all and came out of it with a nice split above the eye.

Turning into a really good club man.

I thought butch was great tonight, he has been missed compounded with radleys defensive absence let alone the loss of friend.

I believe we lose without JWH tonight he was out of this world. As mentioned he is doing it tough without Collins.

SST played better tonight but I hope his form comes along a bit more.

How good to see Billy Smith?! I thought he had a good game. Injury free!

It's gamesmanship what walker did at the end, I don't hate it but would like not to see it again.

It's the trapping of the ball in the scrum that irks me, it's a play for an extra tackle that's a strom thing, I don't see the value.

Refreshing tonight to see us get away with something for once, that Ptb by Manu second half, yet undone by a ridiculous forward pass call later.

Gee wasn't horrible tonight at least, the PTB speeds looked chalk and cheese again tho. I think the worst thing we did was try the dry weather footy for too long.

Field position was key and we finished off accordingly, well except for walker at the end lol.

Good to get a win in a nail biter.

I couldn't give a damn either about Walker running the ball backwards at the end - better than lying down to get blokes sent off.

Radley and JWH fabulous, and Smith a great game back.

Ikavalu courageous and good apart from his bomb spill which in fairness a lot of players would have dropped.

Referee was VERY kind to us tonight, we got all the calls.

Apart from the first 10 minutes, when we looked like we might put 50 or 60 on, we struggled in attack against the worst team in the comp. We are way, way back behind the pack. I watched the entire rabbits game while waiting in ED with my 16 yo son who came off his bike (4 hour wait, torturous). Souffs attack was so good, and Cody and Reynolds so red hot, that in spite of my antipathy to them I had to admit I admired and enjoyed watching them with the ball as a rugby league fan. They have the team to break the 50 point loss (twice this year) hoodoo. If they play their best they can beat anyone and have the biggest attacking weapons.

I didn’t see the game as I was out at a family function. All the media is pointing to a much improved performance by the Bulldogs. Was this the story or did we just manage to make them look good?

Would have liked to have seen Fletcher B play tonite due to the conditions and for more experience and have TKO on the bench. JWH, Rads and Butcher the only forwards that impressed me. TKO a stressed face this season and obviously not enjoying his footy.
