We were rubbish, but the ref could easily have given us another 10 six agains for offsides and ruck infringements. They got away with murder. As for the Hetherington penalty, whuch he said was fine, he should have gone to the bin.

Blowing up about the penalty on Hetherington. Victor got 5 games for a similar tackle, he got off light

You never lay down in a tackle , you never stay down and you never run away .,Old school , maybe your not

        • A win is a win no matter how uncomfortable it was.

          • We've got massive issues and putting it down to injuries is glossing over the fact that we no longer are up with the top sides. JWH was best on field by a mile but the rest of the pack bar Radley is not up to standard. Jmoz looks like he can't wait for the season to end and join his brother in retirement.
We were more than lucky with the ref tonight and just scraped home against the cellar dwellers.
I'd like to see us give the young forwards more minutes in preparation for the following years but it's not in Robbo's way.
We will limp into the 8 and be lucky to make the 2nd week so why not give them more experience.
Very lucky to get the points tonight.

              You’re talking rubbish tonight elo.

Need to put some more respect on Robinson’s name.
I call it how it is, Trent has been FAR too lenient with the performances from the senior players the past few months. JWH and Toops are the only 2 playing at consistently acceptable levels in RWB (I'm not even happy with the performances of Crichton and Tedesco in RWB) - the standards from the rest have dropped off a cliff as they don't believe they're playing for anything. Robbo should have refocused the side but instead we are meandering along in no man's land waiting for 2022 to come along. Yes, the injuries and retirements have been cruel but you saw our performance in the final 15 mins in Newcastle where we had 11 on the field - we haven't come close to matching that intensity, determination and will to dominate and win since and that is because the coach has allowed the standards of the remaining senior players to slip away.

Love Trent but he embarrassed himself last week saying he still believes we are a premiership threat, that's just lying to yourself.

Dogs had a dig tonight although the Chooks with better ball control could have won a bit more comfortable than 6 points as some main stats below show

Possession 56 to 44 to the Chooks - Chooks 33 set completions out of 45 - Chooks 5 line breaks to 1 , 10 set restarts to 5 and 3 penalties to 1.

Apart from the things i bang on about often - ball control /set completions/ kicking game/defence and reducing errors etc

The Chooks lack the ability to play up tempo for 80 minutes or the required period and are not able to cover for the errors they make which more often nowadays result in the conceding of points- at least 2 of the Dogs tries from Chooks mistakes.

He was also going on about one of our players being offside but ignored by the Ref,but forgot to mention Joey was incorrectly called offside near the end of the game!

Did you see hetherington take a swing at victors head in the next set of 6 after the penalty. It missed but he would have been sent off had it connected. What a joke a month ago he is on the bin for that tackle.

He is hardly going to come out and say we are not a premier threat. The fans and sponsors wouldn’t like that.

Yes I saw that also, lucky Victor didn’t try and retaliate

SST plays like a bloke who is leaving.

                              • Cooper Cronk adamant we can win the comp this year even with our injury toll,he keeps emphasising defence and how the best defensive team will win!

He said the next 2 weeks will be a good test defensively and get us ready for Parra and Penrith in a months time..
