  • New Coach for 2010

A little birdie told me that Stephen Kearney put ink to a 5 year deal today to be head coach of the Roosters from 2010.. I hope it is not true but my source is 100% solid and was told by someone from within the club today.

I've been told the same. Freddy to be his assistant.

            Mason is gone.

For what it's worth Cock, I heard via one of the support team that they had been told they may not be on staff next year. At the time they didn't know who but the Roosters definitely have a new coach for next season. I heard a different name, but it was speculation at the time.

I called the mass clean out a month ago...it had to happen.

I heard Arthur Beetson as coach, Fittler as assistant.

I don't know why people are concerned about the 5 year contract length, surely there will be performance clauses written into it and I would be surprised if we are not at least in the finals by year 3 then the next year there would be a new coach.

Same source told me Crock was signing for Souths 2 months before he did.. James Aubusson was signing with the Roosters 2 months before it was announced and same for Nate Myles... I am only reporting what he told me but he is almost always right.

That's how I feel about this rumour.
Gee I hope this isn't true and if they do sign a new coach I would rather it be McGuire than Kearney.
