Yeah we needed the 2 points.

I don't like that sorta play but he isn't the first or the last person to do it. It was extremely wet and we had possession with ~15 seconds to go. Ugly/negative play, but it sealed the deal.

I am outraged by all the sanctimonious outrage over a totally nothing issue. Hope all of you "outraged" wankers can get a few minutes sleep tonight after this supposed crime against humanity. Jesus I thought some of you were smarter than this.

There are a million lower acts that "aren't in the spirit of the game". Diving, milking for a sin bin, Sam Burgess' squirrel grip, etc. Sam's act was at least creative and probably the best option now that kicking the ball into touch no longer winds down the clock.

He’d be inside the origin bubble at the moment.

Being part of Fittlers nsw coaching team, I would assume he would be in the nsw bubble.

In the NFL, you take the knee to run out the clock, you can burn over a minute without risking a loss, well done to young walker, perfectly played.

                Its called game management.
Congratulations Mr Walker , for being so smart and creative to ensure a Roosters victory.
No one in the NRL has thought of that - completely outside the square , a new innovation.
Bulldogs players, Roosters players , your coach , all the supporters in the NRL weren't prepared for that.
                Nobody.
I'm sure there will be coaches like Bellamy who will be up by six or less in an important game, with their side up the other end of the field in the attacking zone, and with 30secs or less on the clock you will see that play again.
Lets call it the "Walker Runback" .
Similar to the "Iverson Stepover" that Joey Manu does.

Initial reactions tell a story and anyone could see Robbo wasn't happy with it. You are just trying to justify an ordinary play from Walker.
Robbo smothered it in the press conference.
Anyway I'll move on I'm watching Barty hopefully win , I have my views on it and yours obviously differ.

If it happens again at some point this season, then you will know if he has a problem with it or not. He did avoid the question of hoopers when asked if that comes under the “roosters way”

Why is this even an issue, I have been thinking for ages that you cane just kick the ball back into your own dead ball and smoke up the clock. It’s all in the rules.
It’s professional football, play by the fuc#ing rules.
To tell you the truth I don’t think it was Walkers first thought, the defence rushed him and he started running back, he looks quick though

I think if it was against us and Cody walker there would be quite a few people here changing there opinion... look it isn’t illegal but neither is a lot of scummy shit in sport... you just don’t do it, if you felt like we NEEDED him to do that to win then good for you.. for me kicking it out was enough.. ffs they are coming last and we ran away at the end? It’s embarrassing and that’s why Robbo was clearly pissed in the box. Anyway let’s move on I doubt he does it again.

I wasn't terribly impressed, but it was quite original and he is young, so I initially thought its dumb, but let's move on...

But perhaps this "Walker Runback" becomes a trend and if it does, will it bite us on the bum, perhaps in the finals?
If that happens, I wonder how many on here will think its a great thing????

Let me get this straight - Cameron Smith falling over and dropping the ball in front of the posts to milk a penalty goal on the final play of a match, which he has done twice to us alone, is "gamesmanship" by a 36 yo veteran, widely hailed as the greatest RL player to ever lace a boot.

And what 18 yo Sam did, which was in no way deceptive or illegal, and a split second decision to ice a game we already had in the bag - is a disgraceful act of cowardice.

                            Yeah right.

And I can honestly say had Cody Walker done the same thing, as someone hypothesised, I would say woopy doop, good on him.

Will need to do it in 3 now - hope she can as that serving for the match at 6-5 in the second will haunt her forever.- needs to run Pliskova around more like in the first set - bloody net.

He played a top game with some brilliant passing. He’d make a great receiver in the NFL! He wanted the field goal but when blocked took what was probably the only option and it sealed the game.
