Apparently he changed his surname from to’omaga to Atoni, back in 2020, I haven’t heard of either of them.

He was named after Steve Renouf, who was his Dads favourite player. That should tell you all you need to know about the pronunciation. It doesn’t explain why he’s not called Steve.
