The families in quarantine now have had all their windows, and balcony doors,
    taped shut.
Outrage there is..."no fresh air, and we can't go outside".
DCE is quoted as saying...para: "a small price to pay to save the season".

Maybe the NRL could hire the Mongols or the Finks to look after everyone inside the bubble & keep those out that are not suppose to be in the bubble.

Wonder how the bubble is going to work when the families get out of quarantine?
Will it be "shop til you drop", "sun's up surf's up'', 'off to the supermarket to buy food', "kids have to go to the doctor"?

they will do what all good QLDERs do. Go to the game and defecate and urinate on their seats. Maybe even in the streets as celebration

            > The NRL and Wests Tigers issued a joint statement on Tuesday afternoon after Roberta breached the restrictions in place for players in South-East Queensland by going into the balcony of his hotel room on the Gold Coast.

Can't say armed guards and dogs would do much about this. Sorta feel for Roberts (aka 'Roberta') here as it sounds like he just walked onto a balcony for a bit of fresh air and was pounced on. Must be pretty tough for guys who need a little more freedom and are losing a lot of games pretty heavily.

Pity the NRL hadn't taken my advice and placed an armed guard and dog, or a giant Samoan in a special uniform on Jimmy the Jet's quarantiine balcony...then he wouldn't have been able to breach quarantine by hanging a towel over the balcony railing....allegedly
              See today's media.
Wonder if that's the end of the NRL in Qld, last warning used up...or did that happen before the last warning was issued?
The NRL might be able to beg for forgiveness, arguing the Qld govt should've had the doors locked.

I doubt the Qld Government will boot the NRL out of Qld. They want the GF played up there so if a player or players break the bubble they’ll be sent home not the whole NRL booted from Qld.

Yeah that's the problem with any 'zero tolerance' messaging... you always end up stuck with a ridiculous, technical breach, the weight of which deserves zero punishment. That or somebody does something completely innocent, but due to harsh media coverage you're forced to act.

I'm glad the zero tolerance crackdown on high shots has ended. It was ridiculous listening to Anal-Guy this week as somebody asked 'would that have been a sin-bin on Anzac Day?' He tried spinning his story to talk about how successful the zero tolerance policy has been because penalties have come down considerably over the last 3 weeks. I was like 'fark me... you dish out a ridiculous number of idiotic penalties, the tribunal got clogged up, approximately 75% of them were overturned/downgraded, there was widespread condemnation of the blowouts/inconsistencies and then you silently gave up [with blowouts to scores magically ending at the same time]... that's failure, not success!'

"Qld Health chief Dr Young has demanded an explanation from the NRL about the hotel quarantine breach by player James Roberts ($7,500 fine and 1 match ban)" - 2GB

                    O oh!

                    xxxxxxx

"Dr Young said that the hotel quarantine system in Qld is not successful, after several breaches besides the NRL ones." - 2GB

Given that statement, the NRL could argue that it was too easy for NRL player Roberts to enter the balcony to hang a towel over the railing.
