    This.

I told Danish to take it down even though it was just a heat of the moment thing and honestly no different to a lot of the vitriol on this site, but I also know that Danish knows as much as anyone what it’s like to lose a parent (mother) from painful cancer and his posting of that comment had nothing to do with that. So seriously ease up on the hysteria.

one, my mum died of melanoma, so I’m perfectly aware.

Two, if what I typed on this forum had any bearing on what occurs in real life the roosters would never lose a game.

three, we are all going to die. Most of us painfully, whether I say anything about it or not.

Not a lot they can do.

But at least Robbo is calling it out.

What else can be done? Probably not wise to do anything. But I suppose when the fine comes they could say 'we are not paying any fine - we merely stated facts". Then if the NRL escalates it, we can then go down the litigation route, bringing up the damning penalty stats over 2 decades - keep it in the courts as long as possible. Let's see whose money runs out first, the NRL or Politis?

We are being bullied. And we all know there is nothing more satisfying than seeing the tables turned on a bully. Nick has the funds to do it if he wanted. Or, the NRL can agree to back the fark off.

        • Rival fans and "neutrals" with big gobs in media go on about how we benefit from bad officiating... well they are less concerned about rules and more interested in what suits them. No point in discussion with these types and taking their bait. Call them out but let them stand on their own with their single solitary brain cell and look like the fool that they are.

Not being hysterical at all. But some might say that wishing a referee a painful death over a game of football is being a bit hysterical and over the top. That was simply the point I was making. If the post wasn’t made in the first place there would be no comment, hysterical or otherwise. But I’m glad to see the original post has been removed and I am sorry for Danish’s and your loss.

About all the club can do is complain privately to the NRL. They nod & thank them for their opinion. And then they apologise if they agree the ref stuffed up. And that's it.

Threaten to forfeit the next game with Sutton involved? I know that sounds bad, but it would bring the issue to a head.

Guessing there's an official complaints mechanism whereby you can send footage to V'landys with anal-guy cc'd? Suspect it'd be pretty much ignored, but you could.

Doubt most organisations are gonna like you publicly criticising the integrity of their systems.

Isn't there a weekly video sessions for all the referees to review the previous week's performance? Just like the players do. That is my understanding. There was also a committee set up including retired players to assist with judgement calls etc..even Freddy was on it at one stage...

Wasn't there a similar stat with Tony Archer back in 2010 and also the Dragons won 16 or 17 straight with him?

                            • That is a statistical anomaly that is very, very hard to explain unless the sample size is very, very small - which it isn't.

                              • Yes, those are the stats, the reason why I complain when we have him refereeing almost every second game of ours.
