Unfortunately he’s now developing a history of setting new precedents when officiating the Roosters.

Cooper Cronk didn’t miss with his comment at half time either, said Gerard Sutton was just “Marking his territory”. Not a great endorsement from an ex-player, refs who want to be characters it’s always dangerous.

And Robbo also said he knew we wouldn’t get any help. He said that once earlier in the season. I think that was probably Sutton too.

The refereeing has been insufferable. And the bias against the Roosters is soul destroying.

As a result I've struggled to maintain interest.

I LOVE the Roosters. They are my primary passion in life for 6 months of the year.

But the refs are crooks. And it's tarnishing my joy for the game.

Vossy said something stupid last night. It was in regards to JWH sin bin and Anasta claiming that Sutton had ruled on something that was never used before and Voss said something like 'See, it doesn't only happen to the lesser teams...' meaning it could also happen to the good teams...Wrong Voss, it wouldn't happen to the Storm, Penrith or Souths.

Yes, I think you're right, he was referring to Sutton then too.

I think "we knew we wouldn't get any help tonight" is code for "Sutton does not like the Roosters and his decisions reflect that fact". It's the closest Robbo can get to the title of this thread.

Exactly. This is a throwback to the cheat sheets from a few years ago. We have been singled out because those f*ckers on channel nine demanded it a couple weeks ago. The Panthers did exactly the same thing holding down Teddy near the line after already conceding two infringements and nothing.

We've seen it before with Sutton with us unfortunately. It's why I mentioned it in the pre game thread.

What happens is he un-nerves us with one sided calls and we get frustrated and then errors and composure compound.

I think he enjoys playing with us, you can here the abject frustration in Teddy's voice when he tries to talk to him.

Along with all the other shocking decisions throughout the night there was a clear obstruction just before the Momorovski try as Penrith attacked our left edge defence. The lead runner clearly ran to the outside shoulder and obstructed Hutchinson but because we scrambled well enough to save the try it didn’t get called. The game has turned into which team can complain and slow down the game enough to trick the referees into decisions that go against the fabric of the game. I don’t want us to change. I just wish the officials weren’t so weak/gullible to buy it every time. It’s destroying the game we love.

In saying all of that we still shouldn’t won that game. We were the better side for all but 20 mins of it. Just some atrocious errors throughout a very important period from guys who should know better.
