  • Our 19 straight record - in jeopardy?

Our 1975 side holds the record for consecutive wins at 19. Penrith went close last year, but fell short at 17 (or 18?). Storm are now on 15 wins straight, but play Penrith, Manly and the Raiders in their next 3 games. If they win those, they play the Titans for the 19th and then Parra & Cronulla.

Geez, I hope they lose one these next 3 games, because I can't see them losing after that.

Who will stop them from beating our record? I think they'll do Penrith comfortably this week, but could potentially drop a game to Manly or Canberra. That's a tough 3 weeks.

Thoughts on whether they will beat our record, or who can will stop them?

I reckon Manly will get them.

Bellamy won't want the same "streak" pressure that Panthers had last year. I reckon once minor premiership secured they will rest all their stars before the finals.

Don’t care. Our 38-0 record isn’t recognised despite tried being worth 3 points when we won and worth 4 points when manly won, so it doesn’t matter , the only thing that matters is lifting the trophies . Records are made to be broken.

Also when we got 19 straight there was no Golden Point. Although Melbourne haven't had to use it I don't think, still worth noting.

100%. They will rest players before the finals. Just not sure if it will be before or after round 23.

I'm more annoyed that Melb play the Riff without Cleary, yet he is due back for our game next week

Tactical move by Coach Cleary as he may feel that the Storm will really test his shoulder out with the their brand of defence - grapples and pin his arms to his body and drive him into the turf shoulder first etc. Obvously if he takes a heavy knock on that shoulder he may well be out for the season

Melbourne's run ends this weekend, they looked flat last week, they are ready to be knocked off. Manly will beat them as well. Penrith paying $23 for 13 plus.... get on it.
