It's pretty obvious that the MRC have unfairly targeted the Roosters and JWH this year.

We should demand a review into the integrity of the entire system.

Yes Tommy and the season not over. I’ve mentioned it previously that it’s no coincidence we have had the Klown in the box on a frequent basis.

Even Buzz said tonight Victor’s punishment was the greatest mistake in the history of Rugba Ligg.

Consider this MattyH - it’s all part of the long game by the powers that be. Disruption, whether there is a suspension or not whilst the theatre around it $ are made on the back of the publicity.

Three different entities. The bunker (Klown), the MRC (not sure but probably made up of refs) and the Judiciary (ex players).
It seems the refs either on the field, in the bunker and the MRC have an agenda as far as the Roosters and Jared are concerned. The Judiciary however actually examine the evidence and generally rule fairly.

Does the NRL compensate the Roosters for the costs they incurred in fighting this stupid charge?

                        MRC, not the judiciary.

Is he given a detailed brief by the MRC that explains why the player received the charge?

Or does he make up his own arguments that support a guilty verdict, whether or not he believes it's true? After all, he's the "prosecutor" - I suppose it's his job to seek a conviction, regardless of the truth (just like real lawyers in real court cases).
                          Good question.

The match review committee is briefed by a Crown Prosecutor then they have McGrath act as the NRL prosecutor.

Yeah how many times have our players 'gotten off'?

I guess the silver lining is that the tribunal's acting independently (most of the time - IMO they were instructed to come down hard on Rads... then again I think his issue was that he had two ~2 week suspensions in the one game and then challenged them unsuccessfully so go figure).

My broader worry is that every time this happens, we don't get the penalty/sin-bin back. Our opposition still gets an unfair advantage from it. Not saying I expect refs to be perfect but some of the calls are absolute howlers (and by the bunker - not even the refs). They need to get better at some of these things.

As Sydney's in lockdown, Nick tasked me with delivering the brown bag payment to the tribunal. How I got there is a story for another day but suffice to say, I got there just in the nick of time.
