We’ll put that theory to the test come Friday night when Whyte runs on.

Angus, Sitilli, N Butcher, E Butcher have all played in the middle first. I think even Cords was playing in the middle at the start. Every player who plays in the forwards on the Roosters web site other than Whyte have all played in the middle.

Where did you see Robbo use Whyte last night?

Nat has missed some costly tackles recently.

If you’re referring to the Haas tackle I think that’s a bit rough. It was smart from Levi to pick Haas on an overs line when Hutch came up past the ball. Nat gets the leg tackle which he’s supposed to do but Hutch is supposed to be a step behind him then so he can wrap ball once the inside defender has his hips. I think it’s a subtle weakness in Hutch’s game. His lack of agility defensively has made him a real target. In saying that he did an awesome job getting off the line to put pressure on Gamble as he rolled a kick in but was wrongly called offside. He can leave once the players foot touches the ball which he did. Anasta’s “one maybe even two metres offside” was incredibly ignorant. Just because you never got off the line fast enough to “look” offside Braith.

Yeh agree with Yak you can't blame Nat for not stopping Payne Haas one on one 5 metres from the line with a full head of steam. His attempt was remarkably good and only came a cm away from stopping the try but he needed support from someone else either Teddy or Hutch in that instance.

The one on one strip on Nat from a smaller guy was disappointing , other than that he did well!

he has missed a few, haas is tough to stop I agree, but the burton miss last week was pretty ordinary and costly.

Like a lot of our players though, he is a bench player doing his best during an injury hit year.

Yeh that was his most disappointing play of the night but it was also a play he didn't have to make. Play 2 on a kick return is no where for a Forward to be but he was busting his ass trying to put in a big play for his team who were struggling whilst the rest of our forwards were offside catching a breath he busted ass to get back onside and take that carry. He was just too fatigued and easy pickings in the end.

Unfortunately errors often come when you're trying too hard, we saw that with Teddy last night but I can forgive both because we just had to last night so far down on troops.

He's a middle forward plugging a hole on the edges. Seriously give the guy a break, his defence is generally very good.

Nat wouldn't bend the line of a well coached 13's side. Even off quick play the balls he is stopped in his tracks. He is fit as fark and works hard but i think his stats regarding metres lie, he simply isnt effective

How much does the first grade lock for the Tigers get paid...$500,000 a season?

I didn’t actually think I was giving him a hard time, I just thought his defence was a lot better than I have seen him of him lately.

As a forward, you are usually known as having that one thing that you are known for, be it ball playing,a meter eater, the intimidator, tackle buster, a defensive wall, whatever it may be, thought this is the chance for Nat to really shine with so many out injured, and cement his spot in the team when we are back at full strength.
