Last week in the Storm v Penrith game, Kikau was defending on his try line when a decoy runner got near Kikau and touched him with Kikau falling to the ground faster than a Brazilian soccer player. The Storm scored a try and the refs sent it to the bunker where Peranara dismissed that contact to Kikau and awarded a try to the Storm. IMO, That was the right call by Peranara because he used his experience in the game and also logic BUT I have seen this situation happen many times this year with the likes of Marshall, DCE and Cook clearly taking a dive when the opposition are close to scoring a try and the bunker awarding a No Try due to obstruction. I have never seen a try awarded when a player takes a dive in that situation so it was good Peranara did use logic, but why is it that as usual, the Storm are the beneficiaries of a new way of thinking and like this rule today with JWH, we are the test case for a rule that has never been applied before, which is not the first time because if we go back to the Tedesco incident against Parra a few months ago, the ones that copped the wrath of the refs after the shit hit the fan, it was us with Radley being reported 3 times and binned twice.

Wow, that was literally 3x as bad as Jared's.

I've got no issue with what JWH did being a sin-bin, but unless you take the teams aside before the game and say "Hey, if you do such-and-such I'm gonna bin you" then I have no idea how a referee can get away with making a call like that, which has not been applied to a single other team this year. Absolutely disgusting call. Should post that video on Reddit and kick up a storm about it.

I want to see the ref stand in front of a charging Kikau and see what he does..... does he do a ninja flip and go 10 feet in the air..... or just dematerialize himself for a few seconds ? Absolute disgraceful penalty and report. The refs are butt fukking the game.

Good comparison Rooster 6. And how was Liam Martin not binned after Manu took the quick tap and Tedesco was stopped a metre out? With 8 minutes to go. Could well have changed the result.
