Who can ever forget the stat from early 2015 where we went roughly 30-35 games without receiving more than 7 penalties in a game.

Everyone else? No one had gone more than 5 or 6 games without receiving more than 7 penalties during that period.

The exact figures are in that leagueunlimited thread somewhere but it was definitive proof of systematic bias.

Good on Ricko for speaking out. The club is obviously at breaking point when it comes to the blatant bias against the Roosters. You can visibly see Robbo looking like he's dealing with internalised rage with his subtle "we knew we we're going to get anything" comment every 2nd or 3rd week.

The problem is people breeze over that part and recite BS about our players being undisciplined and coached to give away penalties.
This is what every opposition fan will take from that article.

We had gone 24 or 25 games I think since we had received 7. Guess what? We got 7 penalties the week after the article came out. It’s always been more about the penalties we don’t receive more than the ones we give away. If ever a stat showed bias, this was it. I would point this out to people and the morons would state.oh yeah but roosters give away penalties deliberately. I would try to explain this is about penalties received not conceded to no avail with most
        Exactly, so frustrating.

One thing that was not mentioned in the article is that the bias goes well beyond Robbo. You’ll find the same thing happened under Smith and Fittler. Clearly it means it’s not a coaching issue.

A bit hard to continue to call all of this a conspiracy theory (which is what Annersley implied), when it is all based on fact.

Its amazing that we have the success that we have.
                Indeed.

The stats are damming and reiterate what a lot of us on here have been whinging about for years that there is a clear bias towards us by some of those in charge with the whistle. Maybe a small part of that article by buzz has been brought about by the constant highlighting of those discrepancies.
It was no surprise to see that the pride of the league are on the other end of the spectrum but another interesting team on that list is the Storm who are middle of the road for penalties yet have implemented every illegal tackle in the game and are renowned for introducing the wrestle, food for thought for those that don't think that the league has a particular agenda as far as favouritism for certain teams to be successful.
Brassy the bias goes beyond the playing field as evident of players being cited and on a regular basis and the fact that Nick has had no enjoy discussing it with the NRL and referee admin. The game is controlled by the media and it’s betting partners and that audience and in particular the various media platforms ie free to air TV and News Limited is for the masses and certainly not for the stereo type eastern suburbs demo or socio economic graphics.

Am very pleased to see more have seen what some of us have been raising for quite some time.

I applaud Spirit of 66 for his analysis earlier in this thread and further for sending it to Buzz.

That was your analysis was it not TJ? More egregious statistical outliers in those numbers. But of course, nothing to see here according to annusley.

Did you see the same situation on Teddy after Manu made that break late in the game? Kenny and Martin deadset lying on him for a good 6 seconds intentionally slowing down the play the ball after we got momentum with the break and wasn't even deemed a six again or penalty. Just disgraceful refereeing tbh
Agree. The way I see the refereeing of general play is this, referees generally put their own feel of the game and set the tone (I.e time lying in the ruck, 10m ruling etc). Once a penalty is blown for these, then that should be the line in the sand for the game for that offence. Anything going over their defined line should be a penalty. So if players are getting 9.5m back in defence then that’s the allowance.

What absolutely s$&ts me is when there are two sets of rules for each team. THIS makes my blood boil! And also the undeniable fact that traditionally “undisciplined” teams, become absolute saints when they play us (even though we beat em by 30), and we receive no penalties/6 agains.

And these 6 mooooooore calls only give the refs more of a chance to manipulate games (as quite often you are not sure what the call was even for…..

Club's next step should be to contact every member of the ARL Commission, supplying them with the stats, the dossiers we've compiled, Annesley's comment, the response Nick got from Vlandys, the response Trent got from Annesley and Maxwell...oh, and the mocking of our players on the field.
Ask them for comment, and telling the media what each ARL Commissioner's response is.
                                Name them and their responses.
They are being paid substantial salaries basically by the fans.
No fans, no income for the NRL.
