Just on that last play, I know Egan Butcher had an average game with a couple of errors but if he doesn’t dive on that loose ball then Mead gets it and plays the ball and there is no stoppage for a captain’s challenge. He had no right to get to it first. That’s how you know he’ll be player.

Agree on the effort play from Egan he showed his hunger and competitiveness in that play which ultimately won us the game.[/QUOTE
Did the all hard yakka then drops the pill at the last second when trying to play it the most easiest thing to do.
Footy is a funny sport sometimes, oh and we’re very lucky we had that challenge available otherwise this wouldn’t be a thing.

I for sure agree Rads is fast becoming a liability the days of hard man pushing the boundaries is gone and he is a very easy target for the refs these days. Effort wise I cannot fault the bloke he tackles his ass off could run the ball more offensively but last week he was awesome with that balance.
I hope robbo can reel him in a little because he can cost us moments in big games ala tonight and matches on the sides lines .

I only partly agree re the Flegler run for the Kelly try. Fletcher Baker shoots out expecting Flegler to pass and that puts a lot of unnecessary pressure on Sitili. Shouldn’t have been as flat footed as he was but Baker needs to stick to the system on second phase like that.

I like the honesty of each player but they're clearly just not at level, both performing bit part roles for their teams at the moment.

The silent death of the crackdown is the ultimate nail in the coffin of incompetence for this NRL admin.
It started with Teddy and Hutch being almost murdered with no reprisal and ended with Rads farcical double suspension.
And what about the non sin binning tonight for the strip? Utterly outrageous.
They're just openly mocking us atm.Last edited by Tommy Smith; 08-14-2021, 12:42 AM.

Whoever defends next to Walker has to do a hell of a lot of work that doesn’t necessarily go down on the stats sheet. He needs to be consistently aware not to leave Walker one on one and I think he does an excellent job on the edge to put inside pressure on to make guys play early and get numbers around Walker. We should remember as well that he was not supposed to be playing 80 mins every week for the entire season. Cordner not coming back has meant he’s had to turn into a full-time reliable first grader very quickly. I think he’s doing a very good job on a weekly basis.

I thought the crusher tonight was one of the biggest dog acts I’ve seen in a while. I will preface that with saying I still haven’t seen a full replay yet but watching it live you could see Gamble holding up Nat Butcher and in the back of my head I was just thinking please don’t come down on his neck and then he went ahead and dropped the full weight of his body onto his neck.
You just don’t see crushers like that anymore, they’re usually accidental or careless, this looked deliberate to me, there’s no way with the focus that there has been on crushers and the way players are being tought to manage the tackle to avoid them that a player just does that accidentally. Tedesco pleaded with Klein to have a look at it and he said the bunker cleared it only for them to put Gamble on report 5mins later. Hutchinson all over again At least this time Butcher was ok but was cheap from Gamble. Deserved a sin bin, borderline send off for mine.

20 errors man that’s not acceptable from a cellar dweller let alone a top 4 team we could have won that game 25 times discipline, execution, composure, intensity and defence is just not where it should be, I dunno we were very very fortunate tonight AK’s boot is worth his weight in gold.
