  • So I woke to read articles claiming the finish to last night's game was "controversial". And the Drongis were "robbed" by a soft penalty.

What was controversial? The replay showed there was contact with the head. BS from the media trying to say we didn't derserve the win. While there is not any mention on Mead escaping the bin

    • you can't hit players in the face so it was a clear cut penalty. not sure how heavy the hit was but if you hit players in the face you're lucky if you don't get penalised. but if you drop the ball on the second tackle when you're up by one point with one minute to go then you've only got yourselves to blame

      • Yes it is BS. Anytime a rooster does it the pundits are all over us about how it was technically a penalty but if we catch one of the few breaks we have had all season it’s like controversy no penalty there BS. Particularly that pus head Anastia. As Cronk said post game IT WAS A PENALTY

I'm not comparing them to Keary, that would be stupid. Keary is not an NRL level half he is an elite half in the NRL.

I'm comparing them to the base standard of where a half used to be at, I'm also not asking Hutch to be anything he's not like I said I admire the honesty he plays with but genuinely outside of his kicking game and his ability to read the game defensivley he doesn't offer the side much else. He's the best option at 6 for the Roosters but again unfortunately that's a sad representation of where the quality of halves are currently in the NRL.

          • I think it was mentioned earlier but want to applaud Kev Walters in his presser. That took guts and temperament to be so gracious after a 1 point loss, where his team tried their butts off.

            • What a top game of footy that was last night, a 21-20 cliff hanger that took 80 minutes to decide, I love those sort of games & the Broncos always turn up when they come to play the Roosters. The Broncos were good last night. The defence from both teams was outstanding & alot of boys would be sore this morning.
On the Chooks, they never give up & its so enjoyable watching them, all the young guys learning their craft. To be in 4th spot is unbelievable.
Without Keighran the Chooks dont win last night those conversions from the touch line won the Chooks the game.
SST was real good along with Liu & I continue to see Sitilli put his body on the line, I thought Rads played tough but Im sure he was not 100% after being hit hard a couple of times, Teddy tried his guts out but things are just not right in the halves so things get a bit clunky. Keighran was my MOTM, no Keighran no win.
On the Broncos how good is Hass & I really like the look of their centre Selywn Cobbo.

Cobbo looks likely, very aggressive big powerful centre, 20 yr old 100 kegs hit with vigour and ran with purpose Kevvie Walters has done a fairly good job with his selections, he has instilled belief in the broncos again they were hungry and came to play and nearly got us again, however at full strength we would have their measure, oh much I miss Keary and Collins.

                • Once again , I deafened the missus bellowing at referee incompetence …and when the clueless dope said to Teddy “in my opinion…” I screamed ..YOU DONT GET A F**KING OPINION STUPID , YOU HAVE A RULEBOOK TO FOLLOW…..as for Rads , what was he supposed to do , stop himself in mid air and float back to his feet ?…if he blocked that Kelly kick , he would of been proclaimed a lege

It's not called a Rule Book anymore , it's now a Management Plan.
