Looks like it's a done deal, Atoni will be with the Roosters in 2022.

Another project player signed on the cheap.

SST, Isaac Liu, Ryan Matterson & Lindsay Collins all rejects from other clubs who were brought into the Roosters system and I expect Atoni will be brought along in a very similar way. Will spend a lot of time in the Bears system next year, will get a taste of first grade playing 5-10 games and then will get his opportunity in 2023 to cement a spot in the top 17.

The noticeable difference this time around is he's not coming out of a 20's system, he's already played nearly 50 NRL games so he's going to come with some experience but also possibly with some bad habits.

Very interested to see how he develops over the next couple of years.

Who knows how it will all pan out but he must be half decent if the Roosters are buying him even if it is cheap.
Like 6 said I think he will play mostly for Norths.

I liked what I've seen from him. Big and strong runner. Robo made SST into what he is today, I hope he works the same magic on Atoni.
