I am also not suggesting people work for $2 a day - its just when the Unions ask for exhorbitant labour rates for workers in the Ford & Holden assembly line , double pay for shift work, sick leave, Rostered days off Super loading, leave loading, multitudes of B/S workers comp claims, etc, etc that we become uncompetitive with the rest of the world.
Then again, our loading docks in Australia are full of cars from the USA, Sweden, Korea, Japan, and Germany - I'm not sure that all those countries employ labour at $2 a day, but then again, you know better.
You might also want to let me know how brilliantly our economy is travelling along - and how our Australian kids are attending University and getting engineering, law, medical and science degrees but most are working as bartenders at some nightclub, or uber drivers. Seems like a brilliant allocation of Human resources & skills to me.
Sounds like our economy is moving ahead in leaps and bounds since the prosperous 1960's, and after that time when I grew up.
You are right - us Tories on here like BB, 13 , Tommy Boy, Jaxie etc understand what it takes to build a football team, put the pieces together, build loyalty , build culture, pride and patriotism- that's what breeds success - we are Roosters supporters - same rules apply whether its a football team or its the business & economy of a nation.
But like I said , you know better - tax everything in Australia that moves (and even things that don't), destroy anything that was worthwhile, and make us uncompetitive with the rest of the world.
Brilliant solution mate.

No news here, so it's time to sledge our arch rivals. That or premiership winning ex-players who are minding their own business.

This was a political stoush between me and Paddo the Colt (or should I call him Paddo the Mule) and I am sorry if I have pissed people off on this forum with long winded posts.(political ,nothing about footy)
It is just that I am sick of reading his political viewpoints in every post he makes.
So , I pointed out a number of facts to Paddo yet he ignored those and couldn't come up with any valid responses.
ie How we import cars from Germany, Korea, Sweden & the USA , yet we cannot keep the car industry alive here in this country?
The fact that very valuable, iconic brands and businesses like Sheridan, Bonds, Dulux , Selleys, Toll transport Group ,our port operations, and soon Sydney Airport, are, or will be in the control of foreigners.
These businesses aren't owned by people in the Cayman Islands, Paddo old boy, they are now owned by the Japanese, Yanks, and Canadians who are getting richer at our expense..
The kids in this country having University Degrees but working as bartenders - How can there be a shortage of Jobs for our most talented people, when Paddo says were are in the midst of record business profits.?
Ever heard of the FIRB Paddo ? Its a Government department who decides whether its in our interests to let our Australian Businesses be owned by Foreigners.
I rest my case, but then I get Paddo's response with all his tripe about Union initiatives, Turnbull hiding money in the Caymans, mein Kampf, Engels, Extermination Camps . Its enough for me , so no more crap about politics.
I'll stick to the footy in future posts , back the Roosters (Unlike Paddo who backs Sam Burgarse) and post lol @ souths like they deserve.

The comments on the article say it all really. There is skepticism about it being any more than an effort to preserve the integrity of the lyin' old vindictive snob father.
The Rooster rusted on also seems suss - how many blokes here read Mama Mia? And the poor petal couldn't abide the sexism of the sheds? Although the lurid conversation of the Colts A grade probably scarred me for life I didn't give up on the sport. Au contraire, I put the shock behind me and doubled down.
I hesitate to use the term "Pussy whipped" but this bloke needs to give himself an uppercut. Men are from Mars, women from Venus and bourgeois female websites are no fans of Rugby League nor of errant husbands. What about the 30 temptresses who screwed the poor bugger, where do they fit in? Poor bugger has to do cocaine just to keep up. What a terrible time he had, wouldn't wish it on anyone.
