If we got the calls against us that Souths did last night, this place would be blowing up. The least penalised team in the comp suddenly becomes so undisciplined that they lose a penalty count 11-2. If I was a Souths supporter I'd be totally p'd off.
There is no way they rest anybody for next week and we shouldn't want that.
There is no glory in hollow victories - even if we get flogged, which I don't expect to.

Last night confirmed that, without serious injuries, there is really just two in it this year with Manly a remote possibility. Apart from the penalty count, which was devastating for Souffs, Cleary was again superb. I don't see a weakness in his game and Momorovski showed that the Chooks recruit and develop great team players - that little chip in traffic was so cool. Trell and Walker on fire for most of the opening half but at deuce the Bunnies were on the rack and the second half penalties were the final straw. The Chooks won't beat them next week but this has been a season to be well proud of and as others have pointed out 4th should not be the aim. A flogging at the hands of Melbourne will do nothing for the second bite chances.

Indeed lol@Souffs Mr. Steer.
Enjoyable watch. Walker showed his usual colours when things get tough, and Mitchell went MIA too, poor positionally at fullback again.
Been saying all year their spine folds in big game pressure. History repeats.
Two intense games last night though, can sense finals looming . Robbo has made it clear we are not there just to make up the numbers.

We have one thing in our favour next week. When teams have had a long winning streak and lose they often lose two in a row. That gives me some hope.
How would Souffs go if you removed Latrell, Cook, Reynolds, Johnston, Graham, Murray, Arrow, Burgess and a couple more solid players from their squad? They wouldn't be top-4 or even close... they'd be an absolute farce!
