1. I don't get your logic... the vaccine isn't 100% effective so we shouldn't bother at all. As already discussed, this is exactly why it makes sense to exclude the ~1% of Australians who actively choose not to get vaccinated from such events. There's no invincibility-mode against ANY virus. However, the numbers are a damn sight better when people are vaccinated.

2. I've done my research and mainstream science makes a lot more sense than what fringe conspiracy theorists (mostly loons with no relevant qualifications) are saying. Trust me, the vocal minority that is anti-vaxxers have shared their opinions with me... as have the mainstream scientists who deliver the cold, hard truth.

3. TBH the alternative is not having crowds at footy... ever again. How about we just do that because a vocal minority won't shut the fark up and stop talking to the rest of us as if we're all nazis and shyte. What they have been up to in the meantime I can't tell you because I am not in personal contact with any of them. I am certainly curious about that too.

The population of the South West of Sydney is approx 1 million, the population of Sydney is approx 5.3 million, with the population of NSW over 8 million

So you would say that 95 number would increase at least 5 fold minimum.

Now heres a fact -NSW has 500 ICU beds spread over the entire states hospital system. If your talking 500 people requiring ICU beds you got the logistics of taking patients to where the bed is, the massive issue of staffing.....and of course if youve had a heart attack, stroke accident or anything else that requires a ICU bed -what happens to them?

So if you're wondering why every state premier-irrespective of political party- has had to go into lockdown well theres your answer. Its the same in every state in Australia

I kinda knew the result when I penned the post. I have my reasons for not accepting the jab. I elect not to deride the thread with my personal opinion based on my own research. And trust me I hope I am wrong and the jab works.

Mate the vaccines are about 50-60% effective against Delta. Have a look at who is getting hospitalized in places like Israel (which is almost fully vaccinated at over 80% ) The vaccinated are being infected and hospitalized.
The vaccinated can pass it on to the vaccinated. And that is exactly what is going to happen at all vaccinated events in due course in this country !
So what's the point of having only "vaccinated "events ? , it makes no sense. Segregating us is nonsense.
If anything it's the unvaccinated that should be wary of being with the vaccinated.

I’m currently working at an ICU, and they only have 30 beds, the majority of patients are recovering from operations, Trauma, and emergency, if a COVID patient needs to be in ICU, It then needs to be in an isolated negatively pressurised room, which there are only 4 of,(not sure how many of these rooms are in NSW hospital ICUs) and they are for other infectious diseases other than COVID also, so to say there are plenty of beds available is pretty ignorant.

With the current lockdown in place, NSW is set to reach around 4k daily transmissions before Mid September, 6k later in the month. Letting it rip would be many multiples of this. This guys modelling has been pretty much spot on.
