How long will such a "passport" be valid?
Come the start of the 2022 season, will you need your Vaccination plus a booster? And come 2023, will you need proof of your second booster shot?
At what point will under 16s have to be vaccinated to gain entry? Then 5 year olds? Come 2023 will your 6 year old need proof that they had the Pfizer vaccine in 2022 and then recently the Moderna booster? Religious exemptions?
There's a lot of finer details to be sorted out.

- The club can make whatever rules it wants. However, from a practical perspective it wouldn't wanna be doing so in conflict with the NRL. I dare say the NRL woulda canvassed Nick before he published this (he never goes public) and he's volunteered to be the face behind it so that the NRL's god support when it announces it later on. That's just a matter of setting a house rule but I reckon it can do so without barriers.
- Is legislation needed? Experts in constitutional law are saying [paraphrased] 'probably not' (see https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-08-...work/100350778). Some MP (dunno who - can search it if you care enough) keeps introducing a 'no domestic COVID vaccine passports bill' (and failing). Could be wrong but I reckon this (rather than assertions that there will be a constitutional challenge) indicates that people within the 4 walls of parliament have received advice that government already has the power to implement a vaccine pass.
- I'd say Nick knows enough people in the NRL, business & state/federal government that he's consulted widely before speaking up. IMO he'd be saying what others are thinking.Last edited by ism22; 08-23-2021, 09:56 AM.

Not his decision to make but I suspect govt has already made this decision for him. No membership of any sort for me and no purchasing of any Roosters merchandise. Not one cent of my finances will be spent on any sort of support for the club. Of course some will say that means nothing and that is probably true, but then there are others who urge supporters to support the club financially as it ALL helps.
I hardly go to games anyway, even if I did go to all games. I certainly would not or do not base my life decisions on whether or not it means I can go to a Roosters game. In short I could not give a flying fcuk if I go to games and have felt that way for some time before this. Year by year my number of games attended has waned. 1 game this year two last year 4 in 2019 4 in 2018 4 in 2017 2 in 2016.Last edited by Andrew Walker; 08-23-2021, 10:04 AM.When you trust your television

Go you Roosters - professionals and pioneers of the NRL. Showing leadership unlike other infighting boards.

In fact thinking about this I think it could be a good thing. Whilst you lot are all mingling out there at the footy still passing on your disease to one another Those not vaccinated who cannot attend such venues cannot be blamed for spreading it. Mind you im sure most will still try to blame others not in attendance of such venues for thisWhen you trust your television

I'm vaccinated, however I do not see the point of a vax passport when the evidence is mounting that the vax do not stop transmission of the current delta strain! You are just as likely to pass it on vaxed or unvaxed!
But I'll leave it to others to argue this. (this is main stream news not conspiracy ON or Fox)
I just find it an incredibly slippery slope coercing people into a shot by ostracization and division. We have enough division in our world as it is!
Should people get the shot, absolutely! We don't want our hospitals and staff clogged up with these people.
But then again, should people also have a passport to say they don't smoke, drink, do drugs or eat rubbish? They are clogging up the hospital quite a bit also!
This is one debate where I have seen many scientist from all backgrounds (progressive/conservative etc) come out with concerns about the current standard approach to COVID and the long term safety of THESE new vaccines.
I chose to have AZ as it was based on a more traditional approach to vaccines rather than the new mRNA vax!
