It is talking about a testing method for viral respiratory diseases like Covid-19. It is NOT patenting a virus. The Priority Date in 2015, which you are quoting, is the date the applicant wants the Patent to apply from. THE PATENT WAS FILED IN MAY 2020.

And just for the record, your terminology is wrong, COVID-19 is NOT the virus. It is the disease which is a result of contracting the virus SARS-Cov-2. SARS stands for Severe acute respiratory syndrome.

Dont we all just want to do our part so we can return to normal? Im currently taking my annual summer leave and for the second year in a row I am stuck with nowhere to go. I dont expect things to be open by Christmas either. That will make 3 in a row. Personally, I consider myself lucky. It has not hit me financially and I dont have any visa concerns. Many are not so fortunate.

I am the same mate but I’m not taking my annual leave while in lockdown. Just taking the disaster payment instead. It’s no where near my regular income but it’s more than enough to get by on every week. I’m not affected financially either but I do really worry about those that are, especially kids who are going without or who are already in fear of being home with abusive or non supportive families. Not many things affect me but kids living in fear is definately one of them.

I love Uncle Nick but I would be very cautious about a blanket decision for players that will have an effect on the game in the coming years. There is evidence based medicine info coming out in the UK and US about the adverse events and high death rate once you are innoculated. Unfortunately this is not presented in main media for whatever reason. I have taken many vaccines in the past including the most recent Tetanus shot for a puncture wound I had but this existing inoculation is based on new mRNA nanotechnology (using the spike protein which is graphene oxide ) If we are not careful we may have a situation where there is no NRL game in 3-5 years time as players will have issues moving forward. I hope I'm wrong!!!

Richard A Rothschild's patent application for a system and method to test for Covid-19 was submitted on May 17, 2020, not in 2015. The 2020 patent application lists several 'events' (a patent law term) and included in that list of events are several 'priority dates' for earlier patent applications on which this one piggybacks. The event with a 2015 priority date is a 'System and Method For Using, Processing, and Displaying Biometric Data'. In 2020, Rothschild built upon that older idea to design a method for testing for COVID-19. The priority date points to older ideas which are included in the 2020 invention. That date does not indicate that the 2015 patent application foretold the Coronavirus Pandemic of 2020.
