[QUOTE=roostermcgregor;n899914]The whole point about this thread is that there are two points of opinion here - and I can see the merits and downside of both arguments.
The pro vaxers want us all to get the jab so we can return to a "normal " life and not be a burden on the hospital system.
Sure , I understand that- I want normality in my life again as well.
However, a few in this thread - Andrew Walker, Rocky Rhodes, Barryd, Nicola Tesla, and myself have offered a different view - we are more cautious about this vaccine, and how it will affect you long term.
The long term effects are not known - we won't know that until some time in the future - when time passes, and the results and effects of the vaccine, on people's bodies, are known..
For those who have had the jab and feel fine - good luck to you.
I hope your remaining days on this earth are full of good health, and I sincerely hope you are right and that the jab is the best way forward for all of us.
But if I want to sit on the fence for the time being, and wait till I see how this plays out, don't go shoving your hypocritical and uninformed opinions down my throat.
The only time you are going to know that the vaccine is the best way forward is most likely in a few years time - Fact / Period.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Once you have all the information in front of you, its easy to say what is right/ wrong.
We are all playing russian roulette with our health - for people like me , I might get covid and end up in hospital, but then again, I am in pretty good physical shape , and would like to think I can put up a reasonable fight if I get it.
But I am putting the gun with the one loaded chamber up to my head.
For those that have taken the vaccine, you have also put the loaded gun up to your head and fired it. Only trouble is you have fired the chamber, and you don't know if the thing has gone off or not.
That's your prerogative.
But farking around with your health is something you don't want to do - your health is the ONLY thing that is important in this life , and without it , you won't be happy.
For those who think I am anti vax (and the others noted above) we are NOT against it.
We are basically saying we are happy to get the jab, once we know the real outcomes- if it is entirely safe, I' ( and I am sure the others) will be the next ones lining up with our sleeves rolled up to get the jab.
But for those who are trying to force their uninformed opinions on us , and "think" you know it all , at this early stage, you are delusional - go take a hike.[/QUOTE
Because we all know the long term effects of covid right? Personally I’m more worried about that crap causing permanent damage to my lungs. It’s NOT the flu or a cold. It’s a respiratory illness which attacks the lungs. There is a difference.
