That's the way it should be anyway for most lines of work where decisions can affect outcomes. When it comes to someone's health, safety, wellbeing and livelihood being compromised and in such a public way, double down on the scrutiny. I've mentioned a few times now about my neighbour across the hallway giving up his career with the Roosters at President's Cup level due to a terrible brawl with that other team.

Agreed. I think it's what should be expected so long as:
- He's collegiate about it and isn't just being a bitter such and such.
- It's factual. For example... when a guy cops a late shoulder charge in the head and it creates a massive crater in his cheek-bone, while the refs/bunker call 'play-on' as if nothing's happened (all during a crack-down on high contact) then you can factually say 'that was the wrong call and we expect better'. IMO part of the system's integrity is calling out errors so that refs can improve.
- They're constructive about their criticism. IMO you can't just have people talking down rugby league... we have a game to sell and if you think it's cr@p then resign and stop making $$$ outta the said product. But, you should be allowed to say 'the game would be better if [blah]'.
