He'll have to challenge the charge, but has ZERO chance of success, so will cop the 9 weeks.

That'll likely be 4 weeks for this year and the first five rounds next year.

Had to go visit the Souths forum to check the reaction. Some sensible people there acknowledged the tackle for what it was and how, if situations were reversed, they'd be demanding a lengthy suspension.

But others were suggesting (a) it was all the result of a media beat up - had they just remained silent it would be 2 weeks tops; (b) JWH does similar things in every tackle; (c) it's clearly an example of white privilege and the continued oppression of Indigenous people; (d) it was a conspiracy orchestrated by the pro-Roosters NRL.

Geez... and I thought there were some crazy people here...

Pretty happy with 6, since I thought he was going to get 2-3.
Another takeaway from the charges was Liam Knight only copping 2-3 weeks. He may well have ruled Tauks out for the rest of the season, and he has a history of those tackles. Should've copped at least 5.
