If Souths don't win the premiership this year, then they aren't going to win for a long time. Mitchell has just ensured that this year is gone. I was starting to soften a bit towards Souths. I've now done a 180. I still reckon Reynolds is the second best half in the comp and I wish him the best.. but he should have gone to the Sharks. I actually hope that Manly get up now. Sadly, I don't think we can field a competitive team now. I just want 2021 to be over.

Grade 2 reckless... it's 6-9.

Also I think (at least based on the legal terminology they are trying to replicate)...
- Careless is like 'negligence' (i.e. you shoulda been more careful but weren't doing anything abnormally risky).
- Reckless is reckless (i.e. demonstrates intent in violent crimes).

Example... if you throw large rocks off a bridge and a car crashes, injuring somebody then you're probably gonna be in more shyte than somebody with a bee-sting allergy who gets stung on a freeway, goes into cardiac arrest and then crashes, killing a busload of school kids.

That's my reckoning at least. Grade 2 reckless is pretty much the worst grading you're gonna get unless (for example) you stomp somebody who's on the ground or throw multiple elbows at somebody.

I'd like to see a worse punishment but end of the day if Manu's cheek-bone hadn't been broken, it woulda just been a nasty, late shoulder charge. I'm comfortable with grade 2 reckless because I think there's definitely worse stuff you can do.

That said, I don't think it should get downgraded. It's late, high and a shoulder... 3 wrongs and from a guy who should know better. I hope they throw the book at him and we don't see him until round 7 2022.

I think 6 weeks is right for that “tackle” but only 6 weeks with all his loading is a bit of a joke. Anyway, I never thought Souths would beat Melbourne or Penrith for a GF spot as it was, they’re no chance now.

Out for the remainder of season and some of the start of next year. In saying that I think it should have been more. But Im personally not interested in that player. My concern is that Joey makes a full recovery.

True wish Joey well. But Fatrell should have the book and then some chucked at him. Hoping they don't stuff about with oh the dudes sorry he sent Joey cards and flowers...OK 3 weeks.
