  • Asshole Takes the Plea

Shitrell has taken the six weeks.

I wanted him to contest and cop nine

Begs the question on what is needed to get a grade 3.

    Fuuck him.

Hopefully they schedule our next game against the bunnies when he returns.

Full crowd and manu v LM as the headline. Would be a great game.

Yeah , I was hoping he would contest it.
Intentional hit , been arguing with Soufs fans all weekend.
Soufs are gone , not just this year but they have a few leaving , Bennet is leaving them done and dusted , they wont make the 8 next year.

Why is he not contesting it, if he and Cody are adamant there was nothing wrong with the hit??

more a sensible move than anything else. he'd probably lose if he contested it but if he won he'd get 5 weeks anyway, so he'd be risking 3 weeks to gain 1 week.

i hope he uses the time to have a bit of a think - he's too good a player to waste himself like this

He has cost Souths any chance of winning the comp.
That in itself is a win for the Chooks.

I feel for you. Upside of working from home, I have none in my workplace..also we have a very strict screening process to join our company with several criminal history background checks = no workplace Vermin..

I tell you what if we end up 6th (which looks like a reasonable chance now) we’d have Newcastle week 1 and I’d be most confident against them. Then into Souths missing Latrell in Week 2. If we can avoid any more injuries for the next two weeks (huge if there) then we’d have Keighran (4 into 6) and Morris back in the centres and a backrow, JWH, Baker and SST (hopefully) available with Radley and Crichton again. That is a much better side than played on Friday. I think at least 20 of those points were caused by limited time forming defensive combinations (plus the Paulo clear no try). If Reynolds happens to go down for Souths in the next two weeks they would be absolute toast. He’s so important to everything they do. Maybe our luck will finally turn when it matters most.

I can see that being our easiest way to a prelim final. Unless Manly loses Tom between now and week 2 of the finals.

I haven't bothered commenting on much of the rubbish that has been posted online from the Latrell apologists. The only time I did comment was when one of them claimed that if a Roosters player had made that tackle he wouldn't have been charged. I replied and called him out reminding him that Radley only has to sneeze near a player and he charged with spreading covid these days

If he had been charged with an intentional hit, he would have been sent straight to the judiciary for sentencing and he would probably have copped 12 weeks or more. He was charged with a reckless tackle. That doesn't mean it was intentional, it means that he acted with such a high degree of carelessness that he just didn't give a fook what happened. On that score, he should be grateful that he copped a Grade 2 reckless and not a Grade 3.

I don't think it was an international tackle just a hard tackle that went wrong as that's the way he plays it same as he did at the Chook/State of Origin etc - Has an on field anger management problem and get's personal with particular players as well as we all know.

As Sterlo and Gallen etc said you want to hurt opposition players not seriously hurt them though

And the fact their premiership window is now nailed shut.

He is lucky that his swinging arm didn't collect Manu on the way down.

At what point do Souffs cut this idiot loose? He has become a far greater liabilty than an asset. I look forward to hearing about his forthcoming off field issues.

Losing our second best player Joey was unfortunately the last nail in our coffin. We mightn't even be able to field a team in the coming weeks.

Yes if JMoz returned fully fit that might mitigate it somewhat, but I think the knights will finally have their chance to knock us out in week 1.

We have drifted out to 40 to 1 with bookies for a very good reason.

Pleasingly, vermin have also drifted from 7.00 to 11.00. Well done Latrell.
