I'm excited about the Academy he said was starting next year to bring through elite youngsters into being "Roosters for life".

Did I hear right that he was actually a player? I know he didn't play first grade, but was he actually a Rooster as a player or would that have been in his formative years in Ipswich?
runs out with the boys every week.

good interview - we've been very lucky to have him

Neither club doing that well at the moment on a number of fronts.. but you get the point.

Still maintain no one deserves a statue outside the SFS more than this man.

Given so much to Rugby League through his service to the Roosters.

Barcelona are one of the most financially mismanaged clubs in all of world sports that’s not something to aspire to

He made no mention of emulating their financial management practices - just their player development approach.

He was talking about their player development and academy. He also said he wanted us to be the Manchester utd. Of the nrl… Man U are a very financially sound brand

That was brilliant and just what was needed after the week losing Joey, it's great knowing the steps that Uncle Nick and Robbo are putting in place to ensure we are going to remain at the pointy end of the ladder for years to come.
Can't wait to get back to the new ground and make it our own and as he pointed out it is our turf. He knows the secret to success is fostering young talent and the new academy is the basis for that.

When the time is right in the future, a statue of uncle Nick at our new "home" ground is a must.

I guess we are so lucky to have people running our club that will ensure the Roosters are at the top, or near the top, of the competition every year.
We are so fortunate to have a football team that always performs at a high level.
Not only that , we live in an area with beautiful beaches, lovely people, and the great Roosters supporters.
Best place on earth - I would not swap it in a million years.

After listening to the podcast. He has done more for footy than a lot of players past and present. Is there a possibility he would be inducted in to the hall of fame at some stage ?
