  • This week against the Stains - Weyman out for six weeks

Weyman is out with an ankle injury, great news for us. He's their main meter eater up the middle, we should be able to control alot easier now.

We may be a chance of winning this one now. Hopefully Mason can back up his performance from last week.

I kept asking myself through last weeks game "where the fark has this defence been all year?", it was great to see us hammering blokes in defence.

I'd love to beat the Stains for a whole bunch of reasons.

    I think we can.

    Chook.

To be fair, we haven't really had to defend against a lackluster defense like the Sharks. We showed plenty of commitment in defense, but the sharks, especially without Barrett are pretty legless in attack. The true test will come this weekend against a side who can attack, I can't wait, it's been a while since I've actually looked forward to seeing how we'd play. Instead of knowing we'd just see dud play after dud play.

Did Hornby get cited for elbowing the Tigers player?

It was an ultra-compressed defence against the inept sharks attack. If we try that against at team that can kick and pass we will get lapped.

            We will get lapped anyway.

We shouldn't get too excited about beating the team coming second last. This week we play the team coming first!

No doubt it is going to be a tough night. But we are playing better then we were a month ago. Our forwards are getting more yards and our line speed has improved.

That was Matt Prior, and I don't think so.

I don't think we can win but have tipped them anyway as I need a few upsets now. Still we have been improving slowly and I give us a chance. But if we have a 20 min clock off like we did against Titans and Cowboys then the Dragqueens will not only run in 20 points but 30 or more!

I disagree man. There was real committment in them tackles, haven't seen that for a long, loooong time.

Last time the Roosters played the dragqueens, the Roosters were subjected to the rough end of the pineapple with the referees, which, along with their lack of effort, contributed to them getting lapped. The Roosters have not yet won a penalty count this year (to the best of my knowledge) and to have any chance against the stains they will have to win that part of the game to give themselves any hope of competing for the game win. On top of that they will need to play for 80 minutes, tighten their goal-line defence considerably and come up with attacking options besides Pearce's boot. All-in-all a tall order and one I would love to see them meet if only to give some back to those obnoxious stain supporters that I have the misfortune to know.

St. Merge are far too well coached and disciplined to choke to us....if we keep it respectable I will be content.

It is going to be tough with out Jake at hooker. I think the Roosters will have no choice but to drop him from the side as the media are going to be monitoring our response to this situation.
Which leaves Nick at hooker i would imagine since he played there last week.
He didn't go to bad last week, but it will be tough for him not being a regular in first grade let alone at hooker.
Have to wait and see how everything pans out.

Jake has been named at hooker roostwin. The only two positions that aren't listed are the other winger and the final bench spot which were taken by Sandor Earl and Tom Symonds last week respectively.
