I'm not against carrying both Watson and Hutch on the bench year. But it probably won't be my first preference. With a fit Rads and Gus playing long mins I don't see why we would have two utilities on the bench.

Considering the pack we have (assuming SST stays) at this stage my first choice for next year would be

    8. JWH
    9. Sammy Verrils
    10. Collins
    11. Gus
    12. Sitili
    13. Rads

    14. Watson
    15. N. Butcher
    16. SST
    17. E. Butcher

    18. Hutch
    19. Fletcher Baker

Not sure that's the nicest thing to say to someone who's put up a thread purely for interaction purposes only to be belittled. Don't get the two mixed up.

Hopefully you aren't his burner account or that'll be another one uncovered! Clown
It makes no sense to me that you put an opinion on a player in what seemed very critical and negative....in a thread praising one of our other boys, after we have had a terrific victory. Just don't see the point.

And "most on the forum" seems dubious or at least overestimating some footy IQs.

What's Long Tall Sally say? If you listen too much to the fans you end up sitting with them. TIT.

Drew was playing well until that dog from Parramatta took him over for 6 weeks or so

It has been a great effort by Hutch. He has really done well and improved throughout the season. I think he is a genuine first grader and an awesome back up half. Lets face it, most clubs need at least one extra half who has some quality. I think there is a place for him in the squad long-term unless he prefers to try his luck with another team at some point.

Between Hutch and Walker, it seems that Hutch gets more involved with kicking in play and maybe even organising.
I can see Hutch working well with Keary - Hutch 7, Keary 6.
That said Keary prefers the left, Hutch also prefers the left and Walker prefers the right.

He totally outplayed Jack Wighton and along with Adam was one of the best on the park.

I love how even with his lack of pace, his default is still to run straight. And he creates opportunities when he runs straight.

This is why I didn’t understand the Watson signing.I just don’t think we need him. Lamb may be on the way out.

I reckon Hutch would be a good foil for Keary as well.

I would be more than comfortable starting next year with Hutch at 5/8 & a fit Keary at halfback.
