  • Victor Radley "fire and passion"

At news.com.au now there is an article titled "Banned Roosters star 'learns his lesson'

"...he's back for the finals with a special message from his captain."
Then when you click on that comes up heading:
"NRL: Sydney Roosters back returning star Victor Radley to keep playing on the edge"
    by Joel Gould

    "Roosters skipper James Tedesco insists
firebrand Victor Radley has learnt his lessons after two lengthy suspensions this year but wants him to play with the same fire and passion in the finals series."

    #####

    NO!
No fire, and only slight passion please.
We cannot afford to have a player in the bin.
3 Warriors were binned against the Titans.
We need cool heads playing, not fired up hot heads.

Only slight passion? Fk that, once you're in you're all in which is what makes Rads so special and what we all admire about him.

Sure stay within the rules, but I want to see plenty of passion from the boys this weekend!

Wholeheartedly agree with this. I want the ball carrier to always be weary of Victor when they’re running at the line, I want fear in their hearts from being creased to custard, I want Rads to take their souls!

I’d like to see him take some hit ups. He was only making one or two per game in the recent past.

It will be great to have Victor back.

apart from the fire and passion of his defence it also give the attack another point of focus and will allow teddy to tweak his involvement to better effect

Be prepared, Gerrad Sutton, Ashley Klein or Ben Cummins will be placed on the game just for the sole purpose to penalize, report, sin bin or more likely send off Radley for this finals series.

He and Crichton should have learnt by now to play within the rules- I expect the Titans forwards to take on the Roosters pack with venom so the Roosters pack need to be very disciplined in response.

Rads will make a huge difference to our side both in attack and defence. Best lock in the comp by far. All the skills of a half and the strength of a prop. Can't wait to see him go at it this week, and the following weeks. Win this one and I think we will come up against either a wounded Melbourne or a wounded Manly. I am confident we can beat either of them.

Call me a dinosaur but I believe there’s still room for plenty of fire and passion in the game, as long as you temper it and use it effectively. Radley is a special talent and only fate ( or bad luck) has prevented him from representing NSW 6 times already.

I love Rads but he has to really watch his discipline in defence as his record is getting to the stage where it's detrimental to the team. He mentioned in a radio interview that when he's fatigued it becomes a footwork issue in defence that causes the problems, just from an observation I think the 6 agains late in a count and repeat sets often lead to mistakes by defenders and they end up on report.

People can say we are no hope, but I'll bet both those sides sure hope if they lose they'll be playing titans and not us.

don't know about that. like ricky stuart said - 'we should not have lost to that team'. sure, we were without jwh and rads and walker only came on for a cameo but it's hard for opposing teams to look at our line up and think we're a big threat. that's what i'm hoping anyway!
