Lam is literally a hack. Simply isn't first grade standard.

I am dumbfounded as to why Walker is not our halfback.

Can anyone explain it to me?
I guess he's just trying to protect him as much as possible. There's a long career ahead of him.

If we can scrape through without him he'll keep him in cotton wool. I'm sure next week if Manly get out to a lead he'll be straight on.

I agree 100% with Trent in Walker not starting. And yes, Walker is a mile better than Lam.
Walker is a huge defensive target, and that Titans pack was absolutely massive. He would've gotten trampled. Lam is a lot more solidly built than Walker at the moment, and frankly I didn't even want Walker to come on the field at all. Luckily, Robinson was smarter than me and injected him at the perfect time.

Possibly against the Manly pack, who seem a bit smaller and got handled by the Storm, Walker could start?
But anyway, trust me that in not in regards to who the superior footballer is. Everyone knows that is Walker.

Watch the short clip of that last play. Walker runs out of the line and tackles nobody to create the overlap, and then runs back in the line and gets palmed off. That is what Robbo sees. Of course, everyone else only sees the "season-saving tackle!"

He scores more tries than he lets in. I'd keep him and polish the rock into a diamond, as Trent could do.

                      Lam sucks.
If he starts next week I’m not watching

Plus, to those who say Walker is a worse defender than Lam are plain dumb. 5 games into his career you’re probably right, but now he’s improved tremendously. Lam falls off every tackle

Fox reckons Lam had 5 running metres.

                        He definitely created nothing.

His only benefit is that the opposition can’t run over the top of him. That’s not offering a lot.

As far as I can see Lam’s big play is to usher a player to run around him, only to confuse him, completely detailing the attack.

We scored enough points to win convincingly. You can't blame Lam for the 3 tries we gifted them to keep them in the game.

Bringing him on in the 2nd half just to create points unburdens him of a lot of those duties. The message is clear and there’s no other noise in his head.

Problem is Lam isn’t doing a great job either, every time he was on the ball it was clear the players around him didn’t know what lines he wanted them to run or what the play was.
I agree although Trent should look a bringing Walker on earlier in the game as Lam unfortunately provided limited creativity!!

Yeah good post - he did create confusion for ball runners - he held on too long a lot and ran slightly too sideways everytime and attack was stifled as a result - however Walker isn't up to 60 mins of finals defence - next year yes this year - not. I know he made a critical tackle - not saying he can't make a tackle but he can't make 40 in a row without 3 or 4 bad misses - it's just a size/strength thing IMO - amd he will build that over the off-season

BTW go you Chookies - how good - what a season with so much bad luck and adversity we get to watch at least a second finals match - so proud of this squad!
