I know I’m going to get shot down for this but he was just awful tonight.

In fact his performances for us over the years have been littered with inconsistencies. I really thought this guy would turn out to be one of our finest second rowers but I honestly wouldn’t be fussed if he moved on at the end of next year. Certainly no Cordner.

I think Robbo suspects this and that is why he hasn’t been selected for any captaincy roles.

Mentally clocked out months and months ago this season and hence you get the inconsistent performances, one of plenty however.

NSW selectors and our coaching staff seem to disagree with u. I know whose opinion carriers more weight. Had also made many pundits team of the year lists.

He was off the pace tonight admittedly, I was wondering what was wrong.

He has been very good this year though overall.

that was isaac who had a few uncharacteristic errors but kelly had a little bobble with the ball and isaac went for the ball, not the man. i thought there might have been a micro knock on if isaac got a hand to it

Yeh, there seems to be huge swings between his best performances and his worst. I guess it’s hard to live up to the standards that Boyd Cordner set but it’s finals time I was expecting Gus to come ready to play but that missed tackle on Kelly sadly summed up his performance tonight.

I think sometimes he’s guilty of trying too hard and gasses himself out.
