I've said it before he's no Cords, good backrower and I hope we don't pay overs for him with his poor record at the judiciary.

How can you not aim up for a finals match when your a so-called representative player? You should be ready to rip in especially given he had a chance to rest up for a few weeks and then get a game in last week.

This is pretty rough, Gus always plays well for us.

His finishing defence was really poor. But compared to Toupaniua, he is first picked

I wholeheartedly disagree; but this thread is a good chance for those clinging on to hating Angus to flex.

He missed a poor tackle; but otherwise he was very good.

He makes mountains of tackles. Runs for plenty of metres. Plays aggressive, hits holes, offloads, and scores a mountain of trys for a forward.

The bloke is a titan and I wouldn't trade him for any edge backrower in the comp.

No hating from me but do you think compared to what Cords brought to the table , do you think he's worth 700 K plus a season?

                      In the current market, absolutely.

He's much better than Fifita who is earning 1.2m. An outlier for sure but even Kikau is looking at 900k and Angus is a much more complete player.

There'll likely never be another Boyd Cordner play for the Roosters in my lifetime. So it's a harsh comparison.

I just love the total package that Gus brings. He's a complete footy player; minus that tackle tonight!

Like I said earlier sometimes I think he gasses himself out, there’s so much quality to his game that he needs to find a better balance.

There were times tonight where he was defending out at right edge, that simply just shouldn’t be happening.

Fair enough Tommy, I'm probably judging him harshly with the wealth of talent that we have had in the backrow with Cords, SBW and Aubo. I just find the edge backrowers and centres a hard position to gauge with expenditure in regards to the salary cap for what they bring to the team.
Not knocking Gus he runs and tackles hard but I wouldn't say he creates a lot from that position.

                            You guys are nuts.
I'd rate Angus, Rads, Lindsay, and JWH as the best of our present forwards.

He gets his share of hospital passes from Hutcho.

Lam isn't exactly going to give better service either.

Maybe he needs to combine with Radley a bit more.

                                800k a season well spent.
