i must have watched a different game, Fifita got rid of him once and try was disallowed, in fact Fifita was missing most of the match because Keighran was getting up and in early to force the ball to go elsewhere, They scored off 3 drop balls and a shocking bit of defence by Gus and Lui.

his kick from the sideline won us the game in the end

It would be hard to look good outside Lam. Toupanua needs perfect delivery because he is hitting the line at speed. LEt’s see if the MRC charges Sammy V (they rarely miss us) as that may force Lam to DH

He needs better ball. The Titans were in our faces all night in defence. (Offside a few times, too). But no more decoy runs!!!!

Both of our edge backrowers have suffered at times this season with the lack of a quality half. Walker has had his moments but I think you won’t see the true value of a player like Tupouniua until he has Keary feeding him the ball or Walker with another pre-season under his belt.
They had a lethal combo with the Bears. Lam/Tups.

              Toupanua: 8 runs for 59 metres … 25 tackles, 5 missed and 2 ineffective …

Egan Butcher had very similar stats .. for less than half the playing time .

That’s the game I was watching..
