I can't recall a defensive weak link as bad as Walker in a Roosters jersey, ever.

He's just not physically ready yet. He has loads of heart so will be fine long term but right now he's just 10kg of muscle and two years physical maturity away from being ready.

And yet, he still needs to start because Lam is a total spud. I'd rather have to watch Turbo run at Walker with all the horrors that go with it than watch Lam stink it up in attack.
Yep my feelings exactly, watching our boys spluttering through their sets in attack at the back end of that game was exhausting.
Start Walker hopefully go try for try with the Eagles, and hope we come out in front. Losing Manu is stretching it to breaking point, Lams just not a first grade half.

There is a maxim used in high stakes poker....you've gotta know when to hold' em...and when to fold 'em.

With Ikuvalu it's well and truly time to "fold "em"...he has had numerous chances( a lot more than Kyle Flanagan) and has continued to stuff up chronically

Easts just cannot afford to play Manly with Ikuvalu on the right wing...he is a giant liability........Hasler can find a weakness....and exploit it

Ika makes a error or two ,sure, who doesn’t , Toups had the dropsys for a little bit , but on the whole , I’d flick lam before flicking Ika , and as for Copley , he should come with a role of “will crumble when grabbed” stickers

He was listed as the 19th man for yesterdays game so must be in some sort of form to be able to play.

Was actually 18th man, so would of come on if the concussion rule took place, so yeah, must assume he is fit to play.

I don't mind Ikavalu making an error here and there, because he makes up for them with scoring tries that literally very few wingers in the entire comp would. I just wish he'd... pick his moments a little better for his errors.

The knock-on immediately after points, and then that one with minutes to go and the game in the balance. I'm not sure how you fix it, but geez those errors are cardinal sins.

I wouldn't drop him. With Smith and Suaalii out, we don't have any better options. I feel really bad for him because I know he'd be filthy on himself for those drops. Trent also really didn't look pleased when he touched on it in the press conference.

Why an Iku thread after every game? Look we get that you might like him, but let's be honestly, for as much as he is error prone he is probably one of the best finishers currently which for all his mistakes he can make up for with his finishes. Stop the Iku slander.

That was terrible too - but Isaac doesn’t do it every week.

As i said before, to win "PVL survival of the fittest ball" u need to have great depth and a solid squad of 30. Problem is there are salary cap limits so u cannot have a squad of 30 superstars and mistake free footballers.

So there will be weak links in every team...it's how the whole squads work as a whole and battle to overcome the mistakes and obsticials of the weaker one's.

Unfortunately Iku is our best remaining option...better than craperly who will come on and trip over a slightly longer grass blade with the try line wide open and then go off with a hamstring injury or something. Then we will need to move Sitili to centre and Keighran to wing.

Ikuvalu is the most proficient try scorer in the Roosters 2021 season. He scores more tries than Toups, on average. Iku scores exactly one try per game. Toups takes just over two games to score a try. Iku has scored only two tries less than Toups this season, yet has played exactly half the amount of games as Toups.

Toups is my favourite chook, I'm not knocking him, I'm just just saying that Ikuvalu's pros outweigh his cons. Also, there is the potential for his bad habits to be coached out of his game.
