I dont want to be critical of Robbo, but the use of Fletcher Baker was confusing and minimal minutes the last 2 games. Our big man Taku deserved a go considering his game against the Raiders and we are so small in the middle of the park and he has an offload in him. Fletcher is smashed and pushed back each run, no effectivness.

Baker is losing his shine really quickly. I said this a few weeks ago but he gets smashed each game onto his backside. It totally takes away any momentum we have. He's a big body with little footwork. I'm not sure how he fits in today's Vlandys ball

I’ve been saying the same thing. He always loses that first initial contact. I don’t really see the hype about him I asked the question earlier.

I wonder if Lam will have the same conversation with Robbo that Flanagan had last year....just no upside in him and we cant say he didnt get a shot.
I must admit I was a big fan of Keirhan, but gee his defensive reads are terrible and drop balls.... not on his own, but really disappointed he hasn't come along either.

Lam and Keighran will be in the NRL squad in 2022 and both will be under consideration for spots in the 17 - A post season review will be vital for pre-season training in improving the team and individual players performances in all areas.

2022 is not going to be oh we get Keary and Collins back so its GF time - a long way from that level and Storm/Penrith/Souths/Manly/Parra for instance wont be going anywhere and other teams such as Titans/Sharks/Knights/Sharks/Raiders/Dogs/Bronco's/Warriors will improve also.

Keary and Collins are the only long term injured established NRL players returning in 2022- it's not like Cords/Friend/B Morris are returning as well

That was f*cking horrible to watch as a Roosters fan
Dominated in the forwards.
The defence was physical , but at times we just opened up, straight down the middle.
The attack was atrocious . Dropped ball just about every set of six.
Unable to make any half breaks with hard running , either in the forwards or the backs.
And of course , throwing panic passes , or stupid passes to support players , when there were better options of who should get the ball.
Its embarrassing to see this once mighty team get flogged by 40 points in a semi final.
We didn't have a clue.
We didn't look like we could get over the tryline.
It shows you how far off the pace our team is.
Hopefully, we can rebuild in 2022.
I hope our side achieves one thing next year.- I don't care if we do not win the title.
All I want for our team is to be feared by our opposition.

Look at our injuries this year.
We will be ok. You will be ok!!

Fair play to Manly tonight, didn’t see one player grab their neck or lie down to hold up play and milk a penalty.

Both sides played the game hard and with the right intent.

Nice change from some of the shit we’ve had to sit through over the past few months.

Yeah mostly but Turbo did hold his ribs for a while and they got a pen early. And then he ran over for a try next set.

We just ran out of cattle, to many reserve grade players and teenagers had to step up and replace either internationals or state of origin players in a well oiled machine that is the roosters top side, its as simple as that really. They did really well to get as far as they did

Yes I agree with this. Individually players could have come in and done a job for us but to have 8 come in was always going to be difficult. Well done for doing what we did.

Really, we were never going to be able to win the comp this year.
Good in a way that we bowed out last night and not beaten by Souths next week.
Oh what joy I'll be having now watching all the teacher's pet teams fighting amongst themselves for the trophy.

After watching most of the game a 2nd time I think we were carrying some injuries. I think Rads def carrying maybe a shoulder and Stilli also not 100% imho.

But fellas we played with what we had. I'm not gonna blame that useless Sutton but the fool needs to hit the rule books. Classic Toups passing off the ground as he's being dragged across the touch line...WTF.

Sutton did give Manly a massive leg up with the early 6 agains. Don't give a shit I still reckon they're a lottery.

But forgetting Suttons's fcuked reffing we didn't have the troops, so Manly beat a massive under strength side, they can only play who they come up against.


I hope Manly can do a number on the Vermin but I think they looked tired as well.

Main takeouts 1. We are a stronger Roosters club now than at the start of 2021, for what we've done. 2. Plenty of praise for Manly and individual players. 3. Big raps for the NRL and how they've managed this season for teams and their families.

Reaching the 2nd week of the finals was a great achievement all things considered...including refereeing/bunker.

Yes, time to rebuild.
Other teams are big, and going bigger.
If we don't we'll certainly be left behind.

Can we really afford to have Walker taking up a bench spot if he's not big enough to start games?
He won't be able to tackle big players until he gets to 90kg.
We need to build a proper team;
. Big props...not second rowers playing prop.
. Big second rowers...not half backs playing second row.
. A biggish, tough, muscular hooker who doesn't throw forward passes.
. Big centres.
. Big wingers

If the Chooks had of been able to play their best 17 that was available at the beginning of the year & they were all fit now they would be contenders so the Chooks have those qualities that you are talking about but our guys were all retired, injured or suspended.

Well, I think we all thought a Manly win was on the cards …..it’s been a shit of a season , how we got this far with 6.4 million on the bench or retired is a massive amount of praise to Robbo and his team , let’s just put this behind us and get ready for our premiership winning season next year …as for whose gonna win the GF , I don’t give a f**k
