I reckon Latrell might follow Skeletor to Queensland in 2023.
Thats my predicament as well, I posted a few months back that Latrell will be the marquee signing for the new Franchise becoming the highest paid player in the game & Benny will be the coach.
The same concerns I had for the Roosters this year are the same concerns I have for the Roosters next year.
The halves.
We dont have top top quality halves & you need top top quality halves to win the comp. It all rides on Keary again. When the Chooks had Cronk & Keary the team could still fire if one of them were out but since losing Cronk the Chooks have not replaced him with the next best half in the game.
Dont get me wrong I like Sam Walker but he is 2 to 3 seasons away from becoming very good & 6 to 7 years away from becoming very very good. Imagine if the Chooks had Cleary as half with Keary,
its Premiership if the Chooks had a Cleary Keary combo & even if one got injured Sammy would play his part till their return.
Its a big worry the halves again next year. Souths will realise what a mistake they have made.

Can’t happen. Too hard to commentate the names. Rabs wouldn’t know if he was coming or going and how would Brwaiff be able to put his wog accent onto those names?

I think that's the concern for a lot of clubs though next season. Take Jahrome Hughes out of Melbourne, Cleary out of Penrith, Walker out of Souths, Turbo or DCE out of Manly. Geez, we even watched Parra struggle without Moses. Every team rides the precipice of disaster based on the fitness of their chief play maker

DCE will be 34 when he finishes his current contract at Manly in 2023.

I agree but Penrith Manly & Melbourne are lucky enough to have 2
If Cleary go's down then Luai who is a SOO 5/8 is still there
If Hughes go's down then Munster who is a SOO 5/8 is still there.
If Keary go's down you are left with Sam Walker very good player but not in his prime & Drew Hutchinson who is not a SOO 5/8. Even Manly have better depth in the halves then the Chooks.
I agree with you about Souths & Parra.

Penrith would not have won the comp without Cleary.
