Sydney has spread so much over the years, 'South' Sydney is now the shire !
How is Randwick also Souths when a stone throw distance from the SFS/Old Sydney Sports ground

Has there ever been a NSWRL/NRL player that has come from
    • Vaucluse
    • Double Bay
    • Watsons Bay
    • Rose Bay
    • Point Piper
    • Bellevue Hill
    • Elizabeth Bay
    • Rushcutters Bay
    • Potts Point
    • Kings Cross
    • Dover Heights
I would say a big NO despite it being Roosters junior areas along with the Sydney CBD which is also Roosters juniors areas.

Talk of Gerard Sutton being replaced for GF because of Nathan Cleary placing conversion spot further in than it should've been. If they give it to Klein, have a feeling the Panthers would be in for a tough time.

Do the touhies do anything anymore other than stepping onto the filed to get closer to the action? Get off the field and open your eyes. They are the ones that should be dropped ...... on their head.

Three used to be a more robust juniors comp with the Rose Bay rams in there. Now it's only Clovelly and Bondi that produce NRL grade.

The most recent club to go defunct was Paddington Tigers which belongs on your list and produce James Tamou who played Flegg for us.

The territory story is a very old one. I say - ask people who live south of Clovelly Road whether they consider themselves as living in the Eastern Suburbs. But on the other hand, I wouldn't want the territory back if it comes with the supporters.

SOUFFS VS PENRUFF = CENTRELINK DERBY but I will take Penrith any day.

They've always been a bogey side for us and Cleary has done a great job getting them where they are.

Let's not become the perpetrators of the crime which we are so often the victim of - hating a club just because of its success.

Johnny Peard went to Rose Bay Public and lived on Dover Rd, just a stone's throw from the school. He played for Bondi United, as did Johnny Mayes. Dunno which school Monkey Mayes went to.

Obviously prior to the property boom and living by the sea became fashionable -I remember my parents thinking of buying a property in Bulli - across the road from the beach back in the early 1970's - a few years ago went down there and the property was for sale - 2.15 mill - it was always you go to the beach on holidays you don't live near one

Need to review junior boundaries though as out my way Wests Tigers are doing an abysmal job with the Liverpool-Campbelltown/Macarthur/Group 6 juniors - The junior numbers in Liverpool-Campbelltown/Macarthur/Group 6 alone will surpass Penrith's in a few years- only just behind them now.

My Old Junior Club -East Campbelltown Eagles had over 800 juniors this year

With the New Macarthur Conference comp starting in 2022 under 6's to under 12's will play in their current comps - Macarthur Wests Tigers ( Clubs from Campbelltown to Liverpool) and Group 6

Under 13's to seniors will play in the New Macarthur Conference ( Clubs from Campbelltown to Liverpool and Group 6)

East Campbelltown Eagles will have sides in

                  under 13's
                  under 14's
                  under 15's
                  under 16's
                  under 18's
                  Second division
                  Reserve Grade
                  1st Grade

Plus a a team in the Sydney Shield

I have noticed folk from Souths/Parramata/Canterbury and even Manly out here looking for potential players - Chooks signed one from Camden Rams recently and a few others will be training for places in Chooks junior rep sides.

And a player in Cleary who shoulder charged an opponent a few weeks ago, and then spear tackled another, go completely unpunished. Yet, Verills, Radley and Crichton get lengthy suspensions for playing footy. Doesn’t seem fair. And arguably corrupt.
Arrow & Koroisau were both punished they missed games thats not virtually unpunished. To me virtually unpunished would be to name them & shame them but nothing more so no missing games or getting a fine.
Would you have a problem if Boyd Cordner went on SAS Australia?
I can sort of go along with you in regards to Clearys shoulder charge but it wasnt the old SBW knock em off their feet shoulder charge, it was at the lightest end of the spectrum, to then say that he spear tackled someone the other night is laughable.
2 things if Radley did that same tackle you would not call that a spear tackle because it wasnt & 2 (I think your around my vintage) so you would know what a real spear tackle is & Clearys tackle was not even near a spear tackle.
I do agree with you though that Radley was very very unlucky this year because of circumstances.

I reckon this is a GF that is entirely up to the Riff ,on how it ends up.
They will be motivated from 2 directions
                      i) The painful memory of how it was to lose last year's GF
ii) Knowing they have knocked off everyone's pick to win this years comp , and the major threat to taking the title. IMO , Riff vs Storm was the real GF
They are in a similar position to when the Roosters knocked off the Storm in the Prelim in 2019. That was the Rooster's real GF. Once that game was won, it was a mere formality that we would beat the Raiders (the only reason the GF was close was because of somebody called Cummins)

So it is up to the Riff to make it happen. They have the ammunition to win, so mentally they know they have what it takes, since they beat the best team all year.
They also know how to approach the game. Hurt from 12 months ago will ensure that.
                      Panthers to win

Penrith have the defensive edge. Not saying it's a done deal but we know what the best defensive teams achieve.

If Cordner was desperate enough to have to go to SAS he wouldn’t be going to have to bang his head on a wall to win that game. His medical exemption was because of too many knocks.
Burgess was given a medical exit because he had a shoulder problem that would not allow him to play again however he is doing extreme physical stuff using his supposedly bad shoulder so you have to question why all of a sudden he is able to do that… but didn’t those issues about his problem with his wife and father in law and the doctors falsifying medical scripts surfaced not long after he left the game? It could be assumed that he was pushed by south’s before all those issues were made public…

As for Radley being unlucky, for sure but so was Angus. He was given 2 weeks for a shove and from then on any misdemeanour would cost him a lot. The same thing will probably happen to Verrills if he does something small because he now has a record…

The riff have them 91-40 so far this year across 3 games. It will need to be a huge turn around for souffs.
