Souffs won't beat Penrith twice in the finals when they were well beaten by them twice in the regular season.

Souffs win over Manly was a mirage as the Sea Eagles were disgraceful. The Riffs win was infinitely more impressive.

Penrith looked very steeled to rectify last year's blown chance and won't lose another GF; not to Blake Taafe, Jaxson Paulo and a largely workmanlike forward pack.

    Penrith 24 Souffs 6

Some think Penrith some think Souths that’s why it’s a 50-50 game for me.
Both teams have got it in them to win it.

              Souths by 6.

Can't see Penrith getting over the emotion of last year and having no week off.

                I reckon you are right.
Its got shades of Roosters 2018, when we belted the Storm into submission.
The Riff belted Melba into submission, which I didn't think was possible.
That was the reason why Melba dropped so much ball - defensive pressure.
I will be shocked if the Riff don't repeat the same medicine on Souffs on Sunday.

Geez im feeling the media are riding the stain to win.
i just watched the idiot Bar on 7 sunrise stating that the game may be postponed. Apparently never has been before. The stain stole a grand final from balmain due to a gentlemans agreement not to play the gf. The stain turned up the next day and won without balmain being there.

I don't want souffs to win and I would turn off all rugby league commentary off until the start of next season if that happened BUT wouldn't it be hilarious if that Taafe kid had a MOM performance and won the CC playing fullback? Souths playing Penrith twice with Latrine at fullback smashed by the panthers. Souths playing the panthers twice with Taafe at fullback, souffs win comfortably.

Demitriou next year: "Oi Lats, you're wearing #3 this week...!"
Latrell: "Oh yeah, well I'm gonna go and see Choc...!"

But as for today Friday, I know Penrith have some sore bodies but if they can hold their shit together, their defence will win them the game.

Last week Manly were under the pump in the first half because they couldn't get the ball, but when they did, they just cut through souffs edges like a hot knife through butter and only due to the bunkers decoy interpretation and drop balls by Manly, souffs were able to take the game...

Same bunker decisions and mistakes happened in the Storm v Penrith game but the difference was the quality of the teams. Penrith scramble better in defence. This was the tougher side of the draw and penrith battled hard and though it would have been an energy zapping game, they're younger, fitter , have had 8 days to get over last weeks game and have last years experience.

Souffs has AJ, Reynolds, and Turgess with GF experience but that was a generation ago and then they have CWanker...The guy who will be the poster boy for the greatest choker in rugby league. Every time he's in a big game, he goes MIA. I hope I see plenty of that.

And as for TPJ, well I'm glad he isn't playing. He doesn't deserve to be a dick at a club and play crap just so he can walk into a grand final bound club...plus Penrith shouldn't have been allowed to get such a player when they are supposed to have the biggest RL nursery in the planet. They were fine without him before he arrived and they should be fine on the GF...

I didn't watch 2014 because I knew that was a given that souffs would win because not only did they have good players, but they also had the refs ear. I don't think it will like that this year. I will be watching hoping to see souffs fans go through what we went through in 1980, 00, 03, 04, & 10. Penrith by 20+!

                    • I heard that there’s a shortage of hot dogs at all supermarkets in Brisbane. Are these 2 at it again?

                      • I pray the GF goes ahead tomorrow.

The gormless feckless Jeanette "I can wait till Sunday morning " Young may yet spoil the party.

Best thing about making the big dance is the lead up week. Couldn't stomach another 1 or 2 weeks of Souths worship.

The dirty scum- sullying up Coogee with their filthy red and green.
You can’t get more East than Coogee in Sydney!!!
Surprised the scum didn’t adorn Bondi or Bronte with their crap.
Coogee has NEVER been part of their territory…soufs idyllic beach is the sewage works at malabar and their home is deadfern ….they should F off back to their dingy rat infested traditional territories and stay the hell away from the EASTERN suburbs.
….end of rant….blood temp coming down from boiling to a mild simmer.

                              • Im really looking forward to this game, it is a dead set 50-50 for me.
Both teams have got the players to win it. The decisions the ref makes & when will play a big part, I think it will be close for at least 70 minutes. Cleary for Penrith & Cody Walker for Souths are the key both are dynamite & can win the game for their team.
If I had to pick a combined best 17 this is how I would go.

                                1. Edwards
                                2. Johnson
                                3. Gagai
                                4. Burton
                                5. To'o
                                6. Walker
                                7. Cleary
                                8. Leota
                                9. Cook
                                10. JFH
                                11. Kikau
                                12. Koloamatangi
                                13. Yeo/Murray split decision

Penrith pip them in the front row for me.
