  • When will these blokes choose Pepsi

Over Coke, ffs they are stupid individuals, i am no pariah and know this party with powder shit goes on at every club, yes even ours and has been going on for years. I just dont understand the thinking of these muppets. It truly is a terrible look for the game but what does the NRL do exactly?

Suspend 1/3 of the players in the comp? Thats no exaggeration

the 3 strike policy is a farce and obviously no deterrent, thats if drug testing even exists in lockdown.

In this Storm instance Based on performance this video was shot prior to kick off-in the prelim.

The question also has to be asked of the people in the room, arent the players in lockdown and quarantine?

video taping incriminating footage, then allowing the video to surfAce, what quality human beings they are.

This will just be another slap on the wrist for Herman Munster, the “ lovable Larrikin “ a boy in a mans body, protected species on the field, misunderstood off the field.

simple solution, suspend every idiot long term or allow party drugs for everyone

I think the players need to grow up and act responsibly - it's lucky the lockdown is still in place as no doubt some players would be caught out in the so called mad monday events they have. Being a professional sports person you are supposed to be self disciplined and act as such - obviously some players aren't

Ridiculous that it's even an issue. They can be bind drunk and that's ok but can't have a line in their hotel room? What madness the war on drugs is. The government should sell the drugs, and rake in he revenue. A proportion can be used for education and to treat addiction. Put all the crims and the bikies out of business, let the police worry about solving real crimes like murders and missing persons, and put the budget back in surplus.

Why do we care what they do in their own time, I certainly don’t. Their actions aren’t harming anyone but themselves.

If someone chooses to smoke pot, have some nose beers, drink, gamble, smoke, whatever their vice is then that’s their personal choice. The education these guys receive during their schooling and then at their clubs is the best its ever been however sometimes the best learning curve is experience and learning from your own mistakes.

Thinking suspending every player who does it is going to stop or deter players in the future is just ignorant. Prohibition is already proven as an ineffective method.

They’re young, full of money, full of testosterone and full of free time. Who gives a shit what they do so long as they’re not out assaulting people or engaging in dangerous criminal behaviour.

Doing some lines at an end of season party is such a non-issue.

Yeah I have to say its not a great look but I don't really care. Its the dickheads that film them and leak it or players who are too dumb not to be photographed.

This is the Shane Mumford video from a couple of years ago.

                https://www.dailymail.co.uk/video/ne...substance.html

So all those saying they see it as a non-issue. I suppose if it was your son/daughter in this video you would slap them on the back and laugh. FFS.

And i doubt the Storm and Warriors sponsors are laughing right now.

Pretty sure cocaine is an illegal drug still no matter how rampant it is in the community.

But they're not my son or daughter so it's not my job to parent them that's why I really don't give a shit.

Why should I be outraged by it? Why should I care?

                  Why do you care?

Never heard of this Mumford guy. It is not a desirable look for a professional athlete/role model but realistically not really a big deal. I just don't care.

To be a give up used to be frowned upon and one of the lowest acts in society now it's considered the norm and encouraged.
A lot of celebs make everyone put their phones in a basket when they have a party to stop themselves or guests getting filmed these footy players should consider doing likewise.

                          Don't take it so personally.
                          I never mentioned care factor.
Your post suggested they should do whatever they want and not get punished if caught doing something which is illegal no matter how many players are doing it.
It is a matter of condoning it or not.
I don't condone it because a lot of kids look up to players like Cheese so if found guilty I don't care what he cops. You make your own bed.

The thing is regardless of whether you think its okay or whether others are doing it they are professional athletes who sign contracts saying they wont. There are people who put a lot of money into the game who will not be happy which in turn hurts the players doing the right thing. I just think its time NRL athletes started behaving like professional sports people. The whole "they are young why cant they party" crap doesn't cut it. If you don't like what you signed up for do something else.

“The kids” lol no matter how much parents want everyone else to raise their kids the footballers aren’t role models.
