Dislike Penrith almost as much, but the same credit is due. 2022 will be known in hindsight as the beginning of an Easts empire incomparable to all that came before. The future is very bright.

totally with you here, some of the behaviour on the pen this last 2 weeks, has been sickening and way out of order.

souffs played a great game tonight and deserve some respect not ridicule.

oh, and before people start accusing me of being a souffs supporter ..1....read my posts, i go for 1 team and team only.2. when i started supporting the roosters souffs were not a top team so no no rivalry was there. a lot of the roosters souffs hype has been media generated.

I don't condone the bagging of the kid, but you can't blame any Rooster for being ecstatic at the result. All this week I've copped it from Souffs mates with the old 'Pride of the League' and 'Forever in our Shadow' jibe. So now we're supposed to respect a club that has no respect for us??? lol imagine actually giving credit to a club whose owner has openly bashed our club and questioned our clubs heart and soul.. were south’s a competitive club when I grew up? and how many bombs would he have run away from? With Mitchell at fullback v Penrith scores were 56-0 and 25-12 to Penrith and with Taafe at fullback it was 10- 16 to souths and 14-12 to Penrith...Mitchell would have gone missing at the back for Penrith to score more than what he would have scored.

And Bennett said they would be ok without Mitchell! Lol. He was the X factor souths really, really needed. And he can kick goals too. He defeated Canberra with his awesome pass. As soon as he left us he became too aggressive getting suspended continuously. He would have done far better he accepted our offer but I think we saw it coming and ditched him. Now after tye GF that decision is vindicated.

It was Cody’s career defining moment. Couldn’t have happened to a bigger dickhead.

Souths stood up well to the amount and pressure and good field position Penrith had. They only really got close to Penrith’s line a few times and scored twice. They were unlucky not to win really. So glad they didn’t.
