I can only go by the players I have seen, which rules out anybody pre 85 for me, but if Dave and Dally are there, then there really is no debate.

Never saw Brown or Dally so its Latrell for me.
All the centres mentioned are & were very good.

Johnny Brass was a very silky centre and his running and passing game was spot on and a very good goal kicker as well -The Late Great Mark Harris was a barn storming centre that you would not want to have to mark or tackle that often

Nobody will beat Browns records. They have stood for nearly 90 years Bradman's batting average in cricket is the same unbeatable record. Brown was the greatest center to play the game not just from Easts,

Dave Brown. Don’t know how anyone can vote Latrell over Manu

Would have to go with Dally M and Dave Brown. Both immortals, with 6 comps between them (pretty sure 3 each)

How many on here saw Dave Brown play live, in the flesh?
You'll be showing your age if anyone says yes. He finished playing in 1941 thats 80 years ago.

Regarding seeing Brown play, not any more. My dad who used to post here as "Jimmy" died in July 2015 aged 91, and he saw him play.

I picked Brown as an old timer gave me a very lengthy info a description etc of his feats ..In my time watching Easts....hard weve had a few good ones I would pick Manu
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

Im sorry to hear that player 1.
Would be interesting to know what he would of thought of Latrell if he saw him play.
By no means do I think Dave Brown wasnt good because all my life of following the Chooks Dave Brown has been a name Ive always heard like Dally.
My answer for who is the best centre to ever play for the Roosters was based on who Ive seen not who Ive heard about.

How come you get to vote twice?
Its either Harris or Brass not both.

Who saw Bradman bat? Doesn't mean he wasn't the best batsman of all time. Seeing someone play isn't a criteria to judge their ability.
