Well game day is finally here. I'm hoping the drainage at ANZ is good.

    Go the Chooks!

GO the mighty ROOSTERS it's a hurdle to roll them but we can do it and we'll get them through the forwards

would be more confident knowing Moga/Tagive was going to play ahead of Justin Carney, I get the feeling that J.Carney might end up being this years version of Riddell/Koups.

on a positive note the wet conditions might help us, our forward pack is certainly our strength this year.

              SKD late inclusion for Carney.

Souffs pack dominated - JWH and Masoe break them.

Pearce - MOM 3 try assists (2 off kicks) and 1 try.

              Morbs Double.

              Mortimer - plays 15 minutes.

              Roosters 30 - Souffs 14.

              Penalties Souffs 11-7

Melon, would love it if SKD was replacing Carney but he hasn't received medical clearence to play, I don't know why but I actually believe Smith won't through Moga to the wolves tonight after his ankle injury, our only hope is Tagive plays in place of Carney.

saw some recent footage of Kennedy in full scrimage he looked strong/fit so hopefully he will also return tonight, will be an awesome prop rotation with JWH/Tasi/Masoe/Kennedy when all are fully match fit, they will put the fear of god in some packs this year.

Tom Symonds scored three for Newtown. Takairangi was the only other first grade regular that played for Newtown. No sign of Bosden, any truth in the rumour he is injured?

Given we named 19 (+ Bosden), I would have thought one or two might drop off to Newtown. Smith keeping his cards close to his chest.

Be nice if the rumour about Inglis being out is true.

It will be a big test for our pack tonight. It will give a good indication of our chances this season.

Souths have a big aggressive experienced pack with Asotasi, Burgess, Taylor, Crocker, Pettyborne, etc. We have a young talented aggressive pack in JWH, Tasi, Mosoe, Cordner Kennedy etc. I would predict the Souths pack will try and run over us and put one over our young boys - I think there will be fireworks in this one...Whoever wins the battle in the forwards will win tonight. If Inglis is out, I don't think either team has enough talent outwide to change the course of the game.

I'm of the opinion a wet track suits Souths Sydney better because it would limit our second phase play and their strength is definitely in the forwards.

Hopefully it stays dry tonight so the boys can move the ball around to tire their forwards.

with Ryles/Conn gone and Takairangi/Bosden/Cherro not playing we barely have a second phase game, with Carney/Maubs/BJ/Perrett in the backline we hardly have a destructive backline, for us to win tonight we must dominate in the forwards, otherwise we will struggle to score points.
