Who's your favourite current Rooster player & who's your all time favourite Roosters player RoosterBoi?
Before Freddy who was the biggest name player that you had heard of at the Chooks? Im being genuine because I know your young.
When you hear some of us on here talking about Horrie, Gurr, Cleal, McFarlane, Boustead, Ayliffe I often wonder if the people born in the 1990's or 2000's know who we are talking about then I think when you hear names like Mullins, Coote, Peard, Mayes do you have any idea who these names are?
Cheers Mickie, to answer your questions:

    1. Favourite Rooster currently - Tedesco, All Time Favourite would probably be SBW, the hype around him and the way he changed the culture was incredible to see and was just great to see him at the club, was sad that he couldn't maintain the form in 2014 and couldn't go back to back with him but will be someone I will remember.

    2. Biggest name before Freddy would have to be Luke Ricketson, a weird one to name considering all the all time greats before Freddy and the fact that he has played with Freddy and being from the same era but as someone whos represented the Roosters for so long and being a one club man and being from a period that was more recent relative to my birth year he would be the name.

    3. When these names are brought up, some of these names I can recognize because they are usually brought up when talking about all time greats relative to the Roosters but its hard to truly appreciate them because as someone born in the early 2000s, it's kinda hard to find alot of footage of these players and as such you're more likely to understand what makes players like Freddy great cause there's not only more footage of him but is more recent to people born from the 1990s onwards.

It's kinda like if you're a basketball fan, and your my age, you'll be able to understand what makes someone like a MJ, Pippen or even a Magic Johnson great but harder to appreciate players such as Wilt or Kareem since for these older players you have to go off limited historical footage/word of mouth from people who were from that era.

Not to takeaway from players such as Beetson, Coote, Mullins, Daily and the rest of the icons from those eras, but people my age will have more knowledge of players from say like the 1980s onwards.

Like when I speak to my mates about footy, they are more likely to bring up players from the early 2000s onwards and will bring up obscure players from the 2000s rather than bring up legends like Beetson mainly cause people born in the early 2000s are more likely to talk from talk from that era since we grew up in that era which makes it harder to appreciate players from older eras.

        Its the off season.
In 2031 hopefully Zac Fitler along with Walker & Suaalii are carving it up.

Good read mate. I was a big fan of Riko as well. Gary Freeman was a top aggressive grubby halfback in the early 90's for the Chooks who I really liked.

Mate calm down, I'm just trying to make this place a bit more active because the off-season can be boring and we have to wait another 4-5 months before the season starts.

Watson was not in the U20's team that won the comp with Momirovski, Manu, Radley, Butcher, Sitilli & Ben Thomas. Latrell & Hastings were ineligible.
I think Watson was already playing FG.
Momo played centre in the 2014 SG Ball GF against Penrith with Travis Edwards at 5/8. I never said that Watson played in the 2016 GF with the 20's. He made his NRL debut in Rd 7 and stayed there for the rest of the season. He played 20's prior to his debut and was at five eighth.

                      Yep okay.
I know you never said Watson played in the 2016 GF I was just saying Momirovski was the 5/8 in the 2016 GF. SG Ball Latrell at 5/8 & Momirovski centre interesting.
I remember watching the final of the SG Ball at Leichhardt Oval & the Bantams were getting toweled up & then in the 2nd half Latrell won the game on his own for the Chooks & Im sure he was playing FB. Maybe he was named at 5/8 but played FB?
Can anyone verify if Manu played FB or centre, if Latell played 5/8 or FB, if Momirokski played 5/8 or centre?

Latrell definitely played at fullback in the GF with Travis Edwards at 6. Connor was off the bench in the GF, The game where Joey was at fullback was the first semi final

Kelby named the side for the SG Ball final for 2014 which indicated like you said that Momirovski played centre & that Latrell was 5/8 but we both agree that Latrell played FB so if you say Edwards played 5/8 who played in the centre’s? Manu, Momirovski or Chevi Ellis?
Wonder what happened to Travis Edwards?

He ended up with the Bears last year but only got a couple of games I think before the comp was buggered.

Not sure if he's signed with them for 2022 or not.
