What's been lost in all of this and the 10k fine is that Teddy was absurdly accused of racism over an alleged "Squid Games" comment.

Well guess what, these allegations were not proven. Ergo Teddy is innocent of the absurdly tenuous racist accusations made against his good name.

This is the same NRL that fined Mitchell Pearce 250k and 8 weeks for being silly at a private party.

Which it took them like two years to admit was overzealous.

The fine and suspension had nothing to do with pissing himself and dry humping the dog, it was to do with the captain of the Roosters (which I always thought was like putting Peter Sutcliffe in charge of a brothel) taking two junior players in Jayden Nikorima and Dale Copley out to get...well, I've never shouted "I have no sexuality, I'll f*** anything" while drunk...while he got wasted.

The pledge by the Roosters in 2018/19 to give up the booze during the season won them back to back titles. Not getting pissed when you're a high profile athlete and have people, especially opposition supporters, itching to make you look like a fool should be a wake up to not getting caught doing it. So why not drink at home?

Unlike Paul Vaughn's Coof breach, a few team mates at someone's house with Ubers (as long as the State Government allows them to operate) to drive them home would be perfectly fine. That way the players can get drunk, make references to undeservedly popular (in my opinion) fad tv shows and go home afterwards.

It could never be proven that's why Katherine Trinh did not contact the Roosters directly and instead posted on social media. Her only intention was to ruin Teddy's good name.

The incident on the night was laughed of by Tiffany Trinh. It was a misunderstanding that was sorted out on the night.
It wasn't until Katherine Trinh became involved the next day that the story grew to Teddy being racist and egotistical. Both Not True.

We know it's 10k for Teddy. What will it cost Katherine Trinh?

I think Teddy had had too many drinks & said something that he shouldnt have. If any of us had said the same to Tiffany Trinh nothing would have come of it.
Teddy is the Roosters & NSW captain, alot of people would know who he is so he left himself open to get what he's copped.

This is such a touchy topic because I definitely think parts of society have become too quick to label things as racist or racism. When it comes to whether it's racist or not my two measures are always was there hostility or prejudice against the victim.

Just from reading the accusers statement online and lets be real that's all any of us have to go off there wasn't any evidence that she was prejudiced in any way or that there was any hostility from the comments.

In typical NRL fashion neither party gets any closure from this matter. From James Tedesco's side the casual readers will join the dot between accusations and fines without every reading the full story of inconclusive evidence so he will be painted with that brush for the rest of his career and for the Trinh family they got no vindication because they were essentially told there's no evidence proving your claims.
