So, it's a Netflix show with only Asian people in it.
So now, a group of Australians of diverse backgrounds can't walk along the street discussing, commenting on the show, and contestants in it, amongst themselves...without being labelled racist?

Its farkin ridiculous.
All I know is...a pub, and footy players, more trouble.
Now look what's happened...and another one of ours making headlines, innocent or guilty.
Radley, the pub, more trouble earlier this year
Best our players stay away from pubs, and alcohol in public.

Best to just ignore words...have thick skin like a crocodile. Pretend you don't hear, it's most definitely the best way.

Was this girl’s sister as offended by him and reported him to tik tok and have him apologise and remove the posts?
I do not condone racism and stereotyping, but I must say society has gone overboard and people are just looking for things to be offended by, so they can feel some sense of importance.
For those of us that are neither of those the rules are different.Last edited by Batemans Bay Rooster; 10-25-2021, 07:22 PM.

A Vietnamese woman has accused Teddy of directing a racist comment toward her. He was with a group of people in Bondi when he said: "Squid games" she complained to the NRL. The Roosters have looked into the claim, and said there was nothing there, he was talking to hs companions.k

It just goes to show you how dangerous it is to live in modern Australian society.
You can be crucified over racism or racist jokes, offensive behavior , assault, sexist jokes, sexual assault , drink driving, taking drugs, inappropriate comments on social media, tax offenses, the list goes on and on..
Get caught up in any of this, and as a citizen, your career and livelihood can be wiped out.
But being a high profile footballer, and under the media microscope 24 hours a day, and the unwanted attention increases ten - fold.
I can't help thinking of Jarryd Hayne and Jack de Belin when it comes to this sort of thing, and the ongoing frustration (and regret) that these 2 have over their actions.
Which gets us to this Tedesco incident.
The roosters supporters who have met the guy know he is polite, gentlemanly and a model citizen.
He is the Roosters captain. And current Blues captain.
He doesn't get these accolades if he is an idiot.
So the current incident is completely out of his character.
Then again alcohol and footballers ( and anyone for that matter) is a volatile mix.
There is a fine line between touching someone inappropriately ( assault) or having their consent to do so, especially when you are drunk.
Likewise, in the same vein, ,did Tedesco make this remark within his own group? Did he say it because he saw the lady in question, and was reminded of the show? Was it something that came to mind, just because he had a few drinks?
Did he say it out loud, with an intention to be racist, and directed directly at the woman?.
Who knows, and without video evidence , it is unlikely to be an issue, and hopefully it blows over.
It would almost pay ESDRLFC to send these guys out with a chaperone when they decide to have a night out.
At least then they would be told what they can and can't do , when they are on the piss.

Who knows what happened
Let's just say that if Teddy did say what he did, it was poor form. Also, if you believe the accuser - The club conducted their investigation without bothering to contact the accuser. That in itself is also poor form and a bit suss
