Kent and Hooper put it into perspective on Fox last night. Buzz was still hyping it up as a major incident and Kent and Hooper shot him down. Their take on it is that Kelly is a grade A dick when on the drink and was being a pain in the haas by stepping on his new shoes and trying to cuff them up Haas had told him to stop repeastedly and he continued to do it so Haas clipped him to get the message across

To Haas, or not to Haas?
Worth a 1m a year?
Worth poor publicity/sponsorship risk?
Worth disrupting team culture?
Imo one of the best props in the comp today (but not the best)… is he really needed to win a premiership? A few middles on more modest money are helping their sides into the 8, into the 4, into the GF, & even winning the big one!
Spine players are worth the big $$$ imo! & I think Cheese will be what the engine room needs to solidify the roosters pack into the future!

Agree it’s hard to justify $1M for a prop who while builds foundation for wins, will not directly ice games and play more than ~60mins each week.

I think Haas would be amazing with us. Imagine what he could become, what he could do with a good team around him to support him? Though I do agree with the general consensus here that he's definitely a risk of playing up. We also have some gun front rowers coming through though, so I guess it's a question of do we want someone we know is good right now, or do we wait and develop?

No way you would pay a prop 1 million dollars a year and not quite sure why anyone would. It's a ridiculous amount for someone playing 50 or so minutes a game.
How many games do you honestly think a 1 million dollar prop is going to win you to justify that type of outlay- basically 10% of the salary cap
