Reynolds seems to have earned our respect now that he’s left.

There's no way we would've treated Mini, Cords, Jake or Maubs that way. Like him or not, but Reynolds gave his all for the scumbags and they throw him to the curb after years of service.
reynolds was offered a year , he wanted more, fair play to all . however souffs will really miss him .

One involves offering a guy (who has been dethroned as captain due to misbehaviour) the opportunity to learn from the greatest HB ever, him refusing and us winning B2B premierships with the said player (who is still a member of our coaching staff). The other one involves sacking your captain for no reason to sign a guy who's now in deep shyte for (allegedly) assaulting his Mrs, assaulting people who pulled him off her and then throwing a wheelie bin at her cab as she tried to get away, causing property damage.

I dont think that the Pearce situation is the same thing. Pearce was given the opportunity to stay, he left. He wasn't forced out. Even now Robbo has welcomed him back to training. That speaks volumes for the culture and values of Easts.
Reynolds wanting a 2 year contract is understandable considering his age and him wanting to look after his family. From the outside looking in, it appears that souffs could've done more to accommodate this. Especially seeing his loyalty and passion for his team. And you'd be hard pressed to find many souffs fans that wanted him out.
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy he moved on, but only because souffs look a weaker side with him out and Milford in.
