Connor Watson returns to his junior Club after a four-year stint in Newcastle much to the delight of Roosters Members, teammates and coaches alike.
One of the most versatile players in the competition and a proud Indigenous representative, Watson returns a more confident and complete player, equally adept at playing at fullback, hooker, lock and in the halves.

Watson can certainly play half no doubt but only when he is required to do so, he will not be coming off the bench to replace a starting half mate. If that’s what u meant then idk what to say there, if I’ve misunderstood you my bad.. In a way I hope I have lol.
the bench will be something like this
14.Watson ( To cover smith / Rads )
15.Egan
16.Tuku
17.Nat/Atoni/Whyte

You’re right to a degree don’t get me wrong the game is faster and players must have more skills rather then being just one dimensional and I think that’s where Robbo really excels in that he can develop that in players like we’re seeing with Nat, Egan, Rads etc. In saying that, you also think Verrilis will play second fiddle to smith and hang around for a bench spot because the game is faster? That’s silly, that’s selfish thinking like I said weeks ago to you put the players perspective at first hand here. The kid has won a GF as a starting 9 at a very young age and has shown he can play.. Wayne is supposedly a fan so what makes you believe he’ll deny himself a starting spot and a chance to make it his own ( Very same reason we’re even talking about this dilemma - B smith ) ? He isn’t Daniel Mortimer mate like cmon, a club like manly or dolphins will get him IMO.

Watson will cover forwards and backs as a multi role utility though - The clubs spiel on Watson confirms this- one of the most versatile players in the comp and equally adept at playing at fullback, hooker, lock and in the halves.-I would say Centre as well.
The days of having 2 props on the bench are gone under the new rules and the faster game and ball in play longer.
Props are not going to be 120kg plus types with varying degrees of mobility and agility and be replaced after 20 odd minutes anymore - Props will have to play longer minutes than that - Fisher -Harris plays at 105 kg , Papalii (Raiders) at 110 kg's and Hass at 117kg- i dare say they were heavier pre rule changes that occured in 2020/2021.
There is nothing to say that either Crichton (102 kg's ) and Sitili (101 kg) can't play prop roles during games especially since the multiple hit ups, out the back with decoys and kick on the last is old hat and wont cut the mustard anymore - teams may do one or 2 hit ups at most and then spread the ball.
Smith may not solely play dummy half either in a game-switch between dummy half and backrow/lock and even prop.
Not sure myself that signing Smith is a wise decision especially when all on here rate Verrills and say he is a starting dummy half though
I wonder how it will work in 2023 as Robbo does have a problem in selecting and using a bench during games - number 17 not even playing at times.- I still think of Toops being on the bench in the finals series in 2017 and wonder why?
If Smith plays 70 minutes or more and there are no injuries or players gassed - What game time will Watson get- Could end up losing Both Verrills and Watson as a result

So thank you.
Our 2 best Edge backrowers at prop....classic
I understand what your trying to say and where it's coming from to an extent but your justifications are just wrong on so many levels every single time

Not so much this year bc of our injury toll but certainly the past few years.
There's always a reason behind his actions.

You’d like to see Sam there for majority of our games though, the more he is in the better for our game and chemistry.
